All of these poll options are terrible. I vote for "Both Awakening and SMTxFE sell very well, in no small part because their respective consoles are short on quality software, but there isn't another spinoff game for a long while because this was always supposed to be a fun one-time thing and sales wouldn't have changed that either way."
EDIT: Also, anyone saying things like "This will kill the FE series" or "This will inevitably lead FE to become a series of nothing but crossovers" might be mentally deficient.

Besides isn't it most Atlus working on it, with IS in an advisory/supporting role? If so, then obviously Intelligent Systems can still focus on making the more the traditional Fire Emblem games.

No it was said in nintendo direct that both teams are involved. That said I'm not really sure who was given more creative control between the 2 so I can't say how big the team will be. Surely neither will use their whole teams for the cross-over because I don't think that ever happens. I also very much doubt this stops wiiU from getting another mainline FE game, when has a cross-over ever done that?

Mine as well, I've known about both almost at the same time as well. I guess I've known of SMT first by a little bit but I've played FE first.

Art is up!
This looks very good, its good enough to be sexy, practical and cool looking without being sexed up or badass(I mean I really do get tired of badass type designs)

I'm a pervert myself but I still have to question the design direction.
Est had the underboobs, Catria the open cleavage and Paola got the panty shot. With these outfits I simply can't take them seriously as participants in a war where people actually die for real.
Of course anatomical issues and those poses that lack any expression whatsoever just make it even worse.
It wouldn't really matter if they showed they could fight imo, as I said in another topic its not like all the other units besides cavilers are wearing anything better. The poses are dumb though but the art itself is good and most of the outfit is good on all of them, its just that they all have some flaws.

I kinda wanted her artwork to reflect her warriorness rather than the artist going for fanservice.
That's just my two cents though.
By expected I mean you could tell her art would be that way based off how it was in the game. I kinda wish it went for her warrior persona as well but you can see that during the game so it doesn't really matter to me as long as its were it matters. I did wish she had more armor on tbh, but it is what it is and doesn't make her any less badass imo. Its not like all the males have battle attire for combat either and most of their artwork has boring art.
The point isn't whether or not the character is sexy. the point is whether or not the picture does anything but sexiness. A picture that is solely sexy has its place, but that place isn't (or at least shouldn't be) a game about shooting magic spells and stabbing dragons. Olivia's character isn't all sexiness all the time, and her art doesn't reflect that at all.
It should if dancing is supposed to boost moral. How else do you think it boost moral when a female dances for man on the field?, its not magical and you could argue that they shouldn't be on the battle field at all when you skill is dancing. I think you guys problem is more so the way the females are drawn in the art than the actual clothing of the characters because some of you are acting kinda like prudes.

Actually that's exactly what I expected of serge as you can already see that during the game.
The fact Olivia's in the classic boobs and butt pose means they're clearly going for titillation over anything else. I don't know about you, but that's not what I want for the future of Fire Emblem.
At least the official artist is compositionally sound, unlike most of the DLC artists.
You mean like what the older fire emblems have already done...ok. I don't ever remembering a rule book stating gracefulness can't also have sex appeal.

She does, but she had official fullbody artwork since the beginning.

Love the sariya pic
that pose actually suits her, she's skinny but she has curves,she has some nice hair and the cape makes her look kinda badass. I didn't really care for her sexualized design at first but it actually grew on me over time especially since she uses dark arts and her personality seems right for it ince she looks Egyptian and that's how some of their females dressed.I for some reason knew gaia would be in on the list because people think he's cool looking. I do as well but I wouldn't have voted for him.

Please tell me you're joking. If you're referring to FE10, then I'd agree, but 10 has bad characterization overall. FE9 on the other hand.. he's anything but.
FE10 was his last canon appearance so that's what I have to go off of. FE9 he wasn't a gary-stu but he still wasn't a very good character (though I did like him in that at least).Either way I have no real problem with Ike his game story characters help shape him to be an ok character, Eliwood...not so much.

Well it's great to see Lyn. Well let me rephrase, it's nice to see a FE7 DLC character finally.
Although as much as I really like Lyn, I was hoping for Eliwood.
Agh, it figures that the lords I really wanted to see as DLCs haven't happened yet...(Sigurd, Eliwood, Ike).
I've seen like 5 people in this topic say this exact same thing. I don't see the appeal of Eliwood when there's his son roy. Even though Eliwood is more important than lyn he is still very boring compared to characters less important than him. Lyn is kinda boring as well but she gets points for at least being another important swordmaster and not a mary-sue like Ike. Now hector I don't know why they didn't get him early on.
Overall I still think they want the DLC to actually sell and its pretty obvious if we take both regions into account that Eliwood would prob be the least bought character along with alm.

Meh I don't see the problem me personally I love the artwork and the dress is well designed so that's a plus in my book. Its not really that impractical for battle as the healers are never at the front of the lines. I did wish she had her original costume though but it this works as well.

Maybe you're thinking of Tiamo, since people were picking on the non-boots and the garter belts.
Um maybe I got it mixed up with sariya I guess since their names both stat with Sa.

I don't really hate any designs (well expect the one's that everyone hates the toilet armor) I'm even cool with the dark mage designs I actually like the designs of them and so do a lot of people I know.
Anyway I guess i'll just state my favorites since I don't really hate any of them.
Serge is my #1 favorite as she's a wyvern rider and I love her design, she's beautiful as well and I love red hair. I want full body artwork now.
Tiamo I like her design though that stance is weird and she has a nice personality
Sumia I like everything about her except her voice but I know that the english voice-over won't be that squeaky.
Sairi I love her design and she's my second favorite, I don't know why some people have problems with her overall design from her waist down but its an actual realistic design.
Frederick I love his design and the fact that he's a calm and collected guy.

You could say this about every game in the series.
Came in to post this and this is especially true for all the gba games. Some characters aren't but a lot of them are in each game even with supports.

Roy -I don't like roy's at all really. He's not supposed to look badass and that's exactly how he looks.
Alm - I don' t like Alm either while there is nothing really wrong with him its just really plain and plain may as well be bad in my eye's or worst as it doesn't stand out.
Elincia - I love her look just as much as her old one and even the helmet it doesn't look out of place at all especially for this FE. Still I think this version of her would work better with a different artstyle.
I don't really hate anyone else art as its either I like them or I never cared about them enough to hate.

Hate to sound bitchy and I normally don't have problem with Japanese voice acting, but the girls sound waaaaaaaay too squeaky in this game. I'm not stranger to anime. Well, at least Anna sounds good.
You aren't sounding bitchy at all some of them are just to squeaky and annoying and I watch anime on the regular. The first time I heard sumia voice she dropped a few points on my like meter, that voice doesn't fit her at all imo. Well at least sairi and anna voices are good.

So pretty much at this itss been confirmed that there will be more than one kid popping in this game. Still nothing on Sairi though...Can't wait until the actual flood of info comes streaming in for us ti pick at.

This is pretty embarrassing and pathetic to put on your manual. When has a Nintendo game ever been so blunt with "hey look here's some boobs look at them do you see the boobs"?
Metriod other M and when their handheld isn't doing so hot that's when lol. Either way I don't know why that makes them pathetic when the series itself has always had characters with boobs and cleavage. Its not like its on the front cover of the game case so its not really like their advertising it as such.

Yep and on a more serious note girls in general seem to grow up faster nowadays.

I don't think importance is what's gonna stop characters from getting in. I think how interesting they are is what will especially if atlus is doing the story.
