japanese website for ys9 is open.

So White cat can climb buildings (already known) and Hawk can glide through the air. I guess this game will be more flexibel with moving. I like it.

I think about playing it in japanese this time. It will take an eternity to be released in the west =/. Even if it should be supported in the west...

Falcom is trying to push their stuff West, I'd imagine Ys 9 will be localized quicker than most games prior. Judging from their recent interviews anyways.

They're also riding on the high of Ys 8 and Cold Steel 4 winning players choice in Japan back to back years, so hopefully we see that excitement come west as well.

Bruh, the SMT games in general are trash. They're hard as balls JRPGs written by some edgy atheists. Persona is the superior and more successful series of games, and it's not because of the waifus contrary to popular belief. *waits for You-Know-Who to get angry at me again.*

For someone talking about baiting, you sure are doing a good job at attempting it yourself.

As for the topic itself, Tactics Ogre but that's purely because I wanted more Ogre Battle style gameplay, not nearly as fond of TO's gameplay and it leads me to not have any motivation to play it.

I expected Shiki because the person who leaked the game before it was revealed said Shiki and

      Reveal hidden contents

    Rimururu

    would be in it.

But seeing that might be our base roster, and

      Reveal hidden contents

Rimururu is still nowhere to be seen, either she'll be DLC or it might have been a misdirection.

Probably DLC, although i'd imagine DLC would also include some other fan favorites.

The problem for me is that Charlotte's design was purposefully more androgynous. She lost a lot of bulk on her armor, and in turn more of her skin is exposed. And she has like... battle stockings?!

It's not so bad, (I do dig the new hair) just a bit off character and more generic.

Shiki I think isn't too much of a surprise, but it's a nice direction they're taking with the roster, it's hype to see. Also we'll probably see more V chars as well.

    Sounding like

This is our base roster before DLC

Ah that makes sense. Especially considering that

      Reveal hidden contents

Wald isn't fully shown, he's just a silhouette. I do hope it's a Dominon-lead game for the potential of seeing Kevin and Ries again.

It'd be a good chance to see them, as well as see the Erebonia ones do some more, along with potentially Wazy, but I can't divulge who they are here.

If it's being presented as a "15th" Anniversary" game, then it's probably some special spin-off game, no? Maybe like a fighting game or something or whatever as a way to celebrate how far the series has come.

Doubtful, it's looking much like a Sky 3rd type of game especially with who they're advertising for it.

Gaius's Brother, Wald who is currently under Wazy's protection, and a reformed Scarlet sounds like a very church based game to me. Along with Rixia for a power support probably under Wazy's request.

Some folks are already theorizing a dual pair of Dominions as the protagonists.

Weren't Dreamland 3 and Kirby 64 made without his overview while he was at HAL though? Compared to Super Star, they both might be taken as steps back given they removed the expansive copy abilities approach and returned to the 1 move per ability trait of Adventure and DL2. I've also heard criticisms of their physics I can't personally determine the validity of.

64 had the combined powers though which people have wanted back ever since, and DL3 is quite it's own thing.

Physics are more punishing than most Kirby games, but not to an insane degree.

    5 individual fighters

    10 echo fighters

Probably what placeholders are at the end of the day.

No Echoes as DLC slots, they pretty much shot down the fact that we'd pay for Echoes at all.

The only way I see us getting any echoes (and I currently don't) is a Simon and Richter twofer like deal.

On the subject of echos in fighter passes, I think it's an important distinction that they only claimed they wouldn't sell Echos. They did not comment on whether Echos might be released as free DLC, or come with a DLC newcomer in the case that they're an echo of that character. Plus, and I know Smash fans would mount this defense, the no echo fighter rule for DLC inclusions was probably written before any decisions were made about future fighter passes. And if they did have echos in future fighter passes, those passes may just end up at lower price points to compensate for their lower value. We don't know what their plan is. We're talking about something that wouldn't be announced for almost another year if it does happen at all.

That could be, we could get echoes with new fighters. Some Sora supporters for instance were thinking Roxas might come along with him for instance. If that were to happen that is.

Sounds wayyyyyyy too good to be true. S4 had only seven, including three oldies (albeit Mewtwo and Roy had to be rebuilt from the bottom up).

If we are getting 15, I'd expect some Echoes thrown in there (half sounds too high though). And who even would be the other 14? Hopefully a new Xeno rep.

Take this into account and it sounds likelier than you think too.

Plus on the Echoes front, from what we know Ken was the last and is planned to be the last echo period.

They're probably gonna have SS4 Goku as a separate character, I'm sure. As for the Kid Goku thing...I dunno, maybe they figured he didn't have enough of an arsenal to adapt, so they went with the fifty-plus-year-old Kid Goku?

Kid Goku has plenty of an arsenal to adapt. I assume you haven’t seen OG Dragon Ball or read the first several arcs of the Manga to suggest that.

The Jaken Fist, 8 Arms Technique, the power pole (which GT Goku never used ever), the Dragon Fist, his various tricks with his tail, his wild usage of the after image technique, among tons more things.

This is coming from a game that has adapted character techniques from the manga itself all the way back from OG Dragon Ball including one off techniques like Tenshinhans Volleyball Fist.

My guess is more slots and the fact that both Kid Goku and GT Goku (in SS4) we’re both heavily wanted to the point they had to compromise.
