  1. "Eh? Quoi?" Focused on the target that was running away, Christopher was slow on the uptake that he was being flirted at, jumping at the touch on their back, staring at Krystal with light disconcert. "Ah... pardon, I must've missed you during the trip. Eh... I'm, not sure it's the best time for your to check." He blushed a little after finally picking up her choice of outfit. I don't remember her at all in the ship. I guess I was too focused on fixing up the platform... "Uhh. S-still, if you stay behind me, you'll probably be safe, this attracts attention like nothing else, and it's sturdy! J-Just let me finish this shot, s'il vous plait."

Chris to (16,26), fire at Priest 1.

Reinforcements again... the group was getting in a precarious position, from Owen's understanding. "We can't let them keep pincering us, damn." Readying his sword, he watched the witch among his allies escape, and moved one step closer, feeling certain he'd gain the attention of the swordsmen. "Better equipped men are coming. With me. We can't let them overrun us."

Owen to 24,25, still wielding the lordly rapier.

"Mm." With little else to say, Üllr stayed put, waiting for the enemies to come closer.

    Üllr hold.

  2. "Eh... hm." It wasn't the feedback that Esther was expecting, but it's not like Cheryl was wrong. "I... just wanted to prove it. I thought, if they put me through all that, then I should be able to beat the battlefield. Why would they do that otherwise, eh..." The words weren't flowing that easy, but with Cheryl's comment, it felt more important to try and vomit her thoughts out, even if it was hard and unusual to Esther. "Mmm, maybe I will. All my sims were solo so far. Guess that wouldn't work out with what happened over there." Esther was still looking at the floor, hesitanting to stare at Cheryl, grabbing at the hem of her skirt. "I... haven't really reached out to any of the other pilots. Even the guy that messaged me kind of did it at random, on his own. I don't really, uh, know where to start."

  3. Things were getting louder, the sound of flapping wings in the distance was evident. "Tch. We need to move faster, they'll try to overwhelm us." Owen readied his blade, striking at the nearest unfortunate man, some collector... affiliated with Kazran. "Whether you're securing his goods or have ill intent, you chose a poor time to show up."

Owen to (26,26) fight thief 2 with lordly rapier.

"Haah... better now. Hrr!" With deep breaths, Üllr continued charging onward. Couldn't afford to play too safe if he wanted to help!

Üllr to (24,26), punch pirate 6 with gauntlets.

"Haaah... thank you, Lady Cassandra~. It sure isn't a nice hit to take, ow..." Whining about his wounds, Chris hopped back onto his platform. "Well, time for a bit of a trick shot. Can't let their healers run around!"

Chris hold, mount, shoot flamespate at priest 1.

  4. "Uggh..." Groaning, Üllr managed to come to conscience again, slowly getting to his feet through pained grunts. "Thank you. Sorry about that." He spoke briefly, avoiding gaze with the healer, self conscious over his blunder. "I'll be more careful." He definitely felt more sore after that one. He didn't want to exercise more caution, but it was probably needed.

Üllr to (24, 23), equip chakrams.

  5. "NNnnghhH!!! Owww! How rude! Ughhhhhh..." Chris was bracing for impact with runes, but he hadn't considered his opponent swinging a pure weapon around. He was still standing, but left reeling even after the blow was softened. "Horrible! How dare you! Ugh..." Still well enough to fire a spell in response, Chris felt it was right to dispose of this dangerous henchman himself.

Chris stays put, elflux fighter 3.

"Hmmm, that's enough of those reinforcements for now... but all that noise means it's not over, best to press on." And hopefully Cass is being cautious enough...

    Owen to (26,25).

  6. "Uuugh..." Having taken one too many blows, Üllr lost his footing, and quickly his consciousness had faded. His pain tolerance was big, but not enough to will his body to respond after too much numbness set in. Rather, he was feeling cold, and his vision faded white. Without another sound, he found himself on the floor.

"Tch." Owen knew that wasn't going to be good for morale, raising his voice. "Eyes on the enemies, the healers will handle him." Luckily, this wave of foes seemed handled quickly, leaving a horseman in sight. "Really? Taking your horse indoors? How rude."

Owen to (27,21), attack cav 7 with lordly rapier.

"Miaou... looks like that side has it handled. Still have enemies on the way from all sides, my my. Suppose I'll keep onwards." Platform in tow, Chris remained with tome out, expecting much unfun frontline combat.

Chris to (18,26), choke the point.

  7. "Hrr!" That javelin was making its wound felt. A vulnerary could only help so much... Üllr wouldn't mind some healing magic, but that never seemed to work too well on him, for some reason. "Haaahh..." Deep breaths, then, the pain could wait for later, with all these enemies in front of him. Left jab, then crushing right.

Üllr to (25,19), punch soldier 10 (with knuckles).

  8. "!" Noticing the movement along the bridge, Raz's movements became jumpier, gliding down the trees quickly. "Get a quick move, we'll have to punch through, there's a chance the knights noticed." She readied her bow, "More fliers in the sky too, keep following Rivane."

    Raz to (11,15).

  9. "Boy, what a bold move..." Owen drew his rapier, moving ahead as the mercenaries pushed through the wave of soldiers. "I may not be built for a life of combat, but a bout of swords is well within my abilities."

Owen to (24,20), attack merc 8 with lordly rapier

"Mmm, I appear to have reached the current frontline." Snarking at himself, Christopher slowed the engine, slowly hopping off the platform. "Well, I'm not about to waste my ammo on these guys, blech. Manual labor it is... have at you!"

Chris to (16,23), dismount, cast elflux on lance armor 4

  10. "Hmm..." Iskra still seemed pretty insular, all things considered. From her perspective, things still hadn't changed, which was unfortunately not wrong, what she needed was a healthier perspective. Seemed like, more than Bonner's words, a break well-spent would do her well. "Maybe indeed, just don't feel like you have to tackle it all at once. While we're on break, it might be worth looking at what you missed."

Bonner felt it was best not to impose, much as Alrenne's concern was valid, his skill at handling this had its limits. Nothing to be done but slowly learn what ailed Iskra. "They've got some record stores by the civilian complex, you could put some of  that salary you've been assigned to use." A little nudge here and there would be the most appropriate, he believed in Iskra's ability to find her first step --couldn't be taking those in her stead, after all.

"Eh... no, the captain didn't reprimand me. I did feel judged by one member... well, rather, I guess we've been jabbing at each other's performance for a bit, and she clearly came off better this mission... nobody else. The guy that messaged me didn't bring it up, appreciated that. And the person who I challenged in the simulation is just some shut-in dweeb. Got my number and talked shit when I came back in a busted up machine..." And then she lost to her, were the words following in Esther's mind, leaving her quiet and pensive. "I don't know about her. I'm embarrassed by the way I just yelled at them, but I'm also a bit pissed off when I think about their messages. I don't feel like reaching out right now... but I think I left my jacket in the sims and she grabbed it, so I'll ask it back later."

A low energy chuckle escaped, Esther looking down to her knees. "Everybody back at the lab had been expecting my results, I could feel that every day, so when I got to the ship having finally aced my sims, I thought I was going to do just as well. It's, not as easy when there's people throwing my mind off."

  11. "Hup!" Rising his blade to divert his assailant's, Owen stepped back and riposted, watching his sister both charge ahead boldly despite her wounds and then think better of it. "Mm." Not much time was afforded to it with a foe right in front of him, but another of the Tigers came his way to strike him from the back. "Unfortunately, too many men are showing up, best to not use that passage and circumvent around."

"I fight." Another voice interjected, Üllr was tending the last of his wounds and moved forward to the intersection between hallways, blocking the narrow passage.

Surprised, Owen stared at the short brawler for a moment. "Uh. Are you sure? It's best to draw them in, you're much too ahead--"

"No. I fight. Can't all come at once from here." Chakrams ready once more, Üllr adopted his fighting stance.

"...Well, let me provide you some backup, then. Here, take care of your wounds with this."

    Owen holds, equip wind edge.

Üllr to (22,18), trade scythe knuckles for owen's vuln, vuln up.

"Doors open, nice. Wonder what that fella's doing there... not one of them for sure. Alright, turn back and let us handle it, moving on, moving on..." Chris continued kicking the platform into high gear, no threat quite in range still.

    Chris to (16,21)

  12. "Cassandra!" Seeing his sister take a blow, Owen rushed forward. "Haah... take care for now, that's not a wound to take lightly. You did well enough that I can take it from here." And onwards he should go... there were visible issues. One healer had noted their presence. "Time to advance, this light cavalry isn't fit for such close quarters combat. We can press on."

Owen to 22,17, attack merc 4 if Tasha misses.

"Let me go first." Despite Lani's readiness for the job, Üllr was eager to press on. One of the cavalrymen had advanced close enough where he could dash in and punch, and no horse was going to make things awkward for him. "Hraaah!"

Üllr to 23,15, strike light cav 4 w/ chakrams.

"Mrrr... ok, I think I've worked out the kinks on the wheels now that the stairs are past." Finishing tinkering with the wheels, Chris managed to raise the platform's humble top speed. "Ah... I can see people through that... hm, doesn't sense as friendly. Perhaps, if I fire over like that..."

Chris to 15,17, arrowspate aimed at archer 2

  13. "Heh... goodness, not one of them standing. Good to know your training keeps you one step ahead." Owen almost felt improper after his sister's display... well, surely he'd be able to help more going forward. "More of them up ahead, as always, let's hope there's a chance to better reconvene the groups further ahead!

    Owen to (22,12).

"Hrrr...." The pure weapons were annoying, and now Üllr was lagging behind. Of course, as soon as the mercenaries were dealt with, he made a dash to make up for time.

    Üllr to (23,10).

"Aaaand I hit the mark! Hah~, even indoor, this platform is functional, I knew I could do it. And now--to guide it through a narrow hallway. Pourquoi..." Facing the consequences of his actions, Chris continued to drive the siege platform forwards.

    Christopher to (14,13).

"Ugh! What's going on?!" Giovanna was clutching her head in frustration, "If only... if only Sylm was here. That bastard..." On top of her issues resulting from the pirates' damage to the keep and their equipment, having barely the time to mourn Sylmaria's mission was taking a toll on her wellbeing. "I can't believe this pretentious clown..." Fumbling through the reports was a doomer attempt, with her mind clouded. Still, confined to an office to sort inventory for their march towards Eslcas was the only thing she could do at this point, begrudgingly so. "What am I even doing... this man..." She clutched a stack to paper, finally sorting them after double checking, her grip becoming a bit too hard, enough to crumple the edges.

"...No. He's a bastard, but what can I even do?" She ended up fighting with her own thoughts. This was his land, his rules. The best she could do was vanish without a trace, but in the position she was... "Maybe..." Her thoughts wandered to her friend, losing focus on the text she was reviewing. Maybe I should meet Sylmaria on the other side. I don't have a reason to stay from the frontlines right now. She flinched, dropping the stack on the table. "NNn, no, that won't help, you idiot..." She mumbled under her breath.

  14. "Gh!!" Üllr moved to avoid the worst of the spear, realizing how dangerous its tip was just in time, and managed to punch his way to some distance from the soldier. What followed was Cin handling the soldier, with some help from the winged thief. "Thanks." He was planning to move ahead, with that target dealt with, but there was still danger ahead --monster weapons, as expected. He'd go after one, but two fighters tagteaming him with the things was too much for his chances. "Tch." For now, treating this new wound was the wisest option.

Üllr to (25,7), use a vulnerary.

"Oh sister, do mind to block their swings, alright?" Watching her choice of weapon, Owen wasn't terribly concerned. Seemed like she was prepared for swordfighter with monster blades. "Bold as you are, focus on the parrying first." He knew she had what it takes. Still... if it was a matter of two on one, he could bother to assist his sibling.

    Owen to 20,9.

"Easy, eeeeeasy there... a thousand curses on who made these stairs..." Muttering and mumbling, Christopher managed to lower the platform without lasting damage, the wheels finally finding even ground. He hurried to adjust the installed weapon as he passed by the hallway, spotting a mark. "A-Alright, I trained for this! Erm, clear some space, set the mark, go go go!" Getting the many moving parts to work faster than to his magic, he fired the flaming bolt at an arc, much like an arrow, with little slowing down. "Whew! Ahhh, time to collect the data~..."

Chris to (13,10), fire flamespate at merc 4.

  15. "Right." Esther followed Cheryl inside, eyes darting around the room as she entered, taking a moment to notice the appropriate seat for herself. It was a notable shift in atmosphere from the rest of the medical office, distracting, but not in a bad way. "Uh... I had a pretty bad day. Not just first live combat, but I also had an argument with... somebody who's not a pilot in the ship. I ended up blowing up at her far more than I should, really." It was rougher than Esther thought, struggling to find her words, to convey them properly. "I'm failing. Compared to what I've been through, to every surgery and simulation and everything... I lived, but my mech was roughed up a lot this fight, and then I lost on the sims to somebody who wasn't even a pilot, and..."

Esther took a moment to calm herself before it just all spilled out incoherently, grabbing the arms of her seat. "It's awful. I almost lost my day being miserable if it weren't for another pilot messaging me. Everything I've been through just feels.... worthless." She bit her lip.

"Okay. Thank you." Manners first, as Bonner allowed himself inside at Iskra's acceptance. It seemed to hit her as hard as he expected... but there wasn't a better way to go about this, was there? To let her wallow in self-doubt while the rest of the group hesitated to contact would've been the perfect concoction for a distracted mind on the field, the loss of the one thing she'd still value, whether she knew it or not.

Bonner let Iskra become as comfortable as she could for it, somewhat expected the impromptu psych session. Best to figure out her situation first. "I'm not the best to tell you the nature of your power, honestly, but if you need any help, know that you're not alone." He offered an awkward smile, "It might surprise you, but I used to work on music myself. Part of a band. It was only after they disbanded that I ended up in the army, really. Still, it's not exactly an easy place to find fate bringing you to. In your case, the value you because there are things only you can do... that's beyond my understanding and rank to influence, sorry to say, but if I may..." Rather than finding a seat, Bonner stood awkwardly by the center of her room, not wanting to impose. "That feeling, after taking a life, is not a feeling anyone should pride in getting used to. It's a mark that you're still human. Even the most self-righteous zealots come back scarred after taking many lives, whether they act it or keep it all in."

"A smart soldier wants for peacetime, for their job to be preventing conflict, and not engaging in it, but we're not the ones making the big decisions, at the end of the day... What I mean to say is, what you feel is very normal, and though I can't offer help on your powers and what comes with that, I can offer advice in this lifestyle you've been thrown here. Your mileage may vary, of course, but..." He paused, thinking where to go from there. Too many suggestions could fall into negative influencing by those in the top brass invested in Newtypes like Iskra, but surely she could avoid giving the game away, so long as she could get over this... "There's many ways to walk this life, some without abandoning your former one entirely."

  16. "Eh...? Yes, I'm one of the pilots. Uh, nice to meet you." The nurse had an exotic appearance --not too uncommon these days, but enough to distract as the brain processed they were real. "Mm, that's right, I came here for a psych appointment." She barely processed Fumie's flirt as it was, assuming it to merely be an information of her field  as a nurse. "Thanks, ah--Bye." And there she went, leaving Esther with Cheryl, whom she walked  towards.

"Good to meet you, doc. I'm, uh, still figuring this out as a first time." She walked towards the psych, noticing the drastic difference in professionalism. It was nice to see the doctor was trying her best to calm Esther's nerves. "Mm, thank you. I had a bad day yesterday, so I thought about the program they offered to pilots... never been to a normal psych checkup, though."

"Just checking up --if you don't mind." Bonner figured there was no point not being forward, he just had to avoid being overwhelming. "Being a pilot is a lot of pressure as it is, so I figured a little sorting tallk could help. With earlier being our first live combat, I figured I should at least offer." And a pause, to not be overwhelming. "But don't hesitate to say no if it is not a good time."

  17. "Sister..." What a way to start, with Owen's own sibling screaming expletives and drawing the attention of all the guards --some which were sure to have 'pure' weapons for slaying Clouded, as it were. "I'm sure the group morale appreciates it, but don't draw all their attention at once, not with the weapons they wield." He followed along, a step close to his sister, ready to position himself closer to the front. "Come, let my training help, they can't surround us as a wall."

    Owen to (16,8).

"Mmmiaou..." Tail wagging, Chris got the platform moving, in... moderately brisk gear. There were a few avenues to fire, as long as he stood by the more spacious places. "Mon dieu, they had to start with stairs? Why put stairs down your basement level? Why not make it level with the secret cave entrance? Ugh, hold tight, my sweet child..."

    Chris to (13,6).

  18. "Hm... oh, certainly, leave it to me, XO." Seems there was a bit of a concern over Iskra's behavior... and Bonner could understand why, every day, she was growing further into a wallflower. Could be many reasons, some Bonner could navigate, but anything more Newtype-related could be tricky... still, if anyone in the crew could do it, it'd be him.

Bonner had followed through on Alrenne's request, taking his free time in stride as he remained onboard, on his way to another pilot's chambers. He rang the bell. "Hello there, Lieutenant Dusan? Are you free?" Hopefully she was still in a manageable headspace to accept company.

"Ugh..." Esther had a mind to explore the city, but first was a self-made promise. She was going to look into some more medical assistance after that pathetic outburst against Vivien. She couldn't let something like that ruin her day, especially when there were those still trying to get to her like Markus.

She awkwardly walked into the medical office, fit in her antisocial, casual gothy setup. "Hello? Can I make a psych appointment here...?" She entered the lounge a little nervously, looking towards the balcony.

  19. It was time. Having been selected as part of the group, Üllr was light on his feet, walking around the deck as the ship continued on its way. He'd been restless as the hour drew closer and closer, attention drawn to the cave as it was pointed out by Kieran. He approached, looking at its direction. "Mrrr... No matter what, we'll be fighting in their place. It won't be easy just because of this." Üllr was expecting a lot of enemies, no matter what. It was the hornet's nest, Kazran wouldn't be alone. Even if they caught him off-guard, he'd have a lot of men there. Surely.

"Haaah..." Despite his leadership, Owen was doing his best to keep composure, going in with the mercenaries was a dangerous proposition, one made for the optics of things, to speak that this was his issue, and that he wouldn't sit aside while sellswords did his work, in Islexian culture, that'd paint his a way that he couldn't afford at this point. Dialogue with the people, stubborn as they were, necessitated action, values of respect. He knew it was a risk, but with his sister and the Tigers at his side, perhaps he could keep the danger in check. That Kazran is a monster, still. What will happen when I meet him face to face?

"And one loop here, tighten here, and... hmmm.... " Chris was focused on tinkering his platform, setting his weapon of choice. For an enclosed space, something that didn't fire in an arc would be preferred. "First tactical use of this platform... and our mission is indoors... whew. But then again, protecting the ship wouldn't make too much sense, these things are made for offense." Deeply fixated in his work, Chris wagged his tail, spirits relatively high. "Time to make history! And on a big battle like this too, hmm, I wonder what my teachers would say..."

Soon enough, they were at treachery's doors, guards were gathering up now --a bit slow to the act, which Üllr wasn't going to complain about. "Alright, time to fight!" Stanced up, Üllr lead the charge on one of the sides, seeing a soldier getting a bit too close. "Rah!" It was time to start the job they were here for, with morale high.

Üllr to 25,4, punch soldier 1 with his iron knuckles.

  20. "Ah. No, I wouldn't say he ever invested his forces hard on Kazran's domain to begin with. Rather..." A quick pause to find his words, Owen wasn't expecting the question from Syndra --rather, that her perception on Islexian politics was off, but not knowing how long she was away, it seemed reasonable to explain. "It was more of a matter of waiting and letting things resolve themselves. While my stance can be interpreted as a threat, Kazran is a greedy buffoon. Between his deals with bandits and the Underground, and his tactless self-assertions, I've no doubt Nicolas knows the man wants to expand his land until he matches the Belrose's influence. Lofty, and a fantastic way to lose crucial support." He cleared his throat. "I think your father knows that leaving Kazran to exhaust himself in this siege is the better option, even if he might not win."

  21. "Hm? Ah... I figured." Owen spoke in a hushed whisper as he heard Marigold's voice, turning his head slowly towards the source. "I can't condemn people freeing anyone they wish over personal judgements... but let's call it a trial of his conviction under watch. This time." The prince wondered whether he had a penchant to find very willful subordinates, or if his authority was that lax... but most certainly, it wasn't the time to ponder these sorts when he got approached by another --The Belrose, in fact.

"Ah. Syndra... a question, is it?" Owen turned to address her, tense and hushed in response, turning a head quickly to see if he disturbed Kieran's conversation --which gladly wasn't the case, before taking a few steps back, and turning towards the Belrose. "Do go on, I have the time." He was still able to catch a glimpse of Kieran's conversation, though time to process his words would be another matter. "Mmm." And it seemed one of the other Tigers was also fond of Syndra, Owen acknowledged the woman with a brief nod.

  22. Leaving Tasha and Mina to their business, Owen was free to continue observing what training the Tigers were okay with disclosing, ending up witness to an explosive spell from an Evoker, no less. "We'll need more training dummies after today." He chuckled, watching the wood being charred to ash after Elisa's fire spell finished. "Well, not that I mind."

Owen could feel his nerves ease up, despite the rush of that day. Being party to such a distinct group was good for his troops' morale, as well as his own. Furthermore, a face that wasn't supposed to be here showed up, making conversation with the self-deprecating Clouded, of all people. Well well, Kieran. Guessing Marigold had something to do with this.

Owen approached the duo, half a mind to speak up --if only to see how Kieran would bluster his way out of it. The wind of their conversation caught his ears before he approached too much, and he paused to listen, sensing a sensitive topic approaching. Perhaps it was best to watch and wait for Kieran's response, lest he weaken the impact. Come now, Kieran, show me you've changed. Mayhap it wasn't very regal to eavesdrop, but Owen was invested.

...Besides, knowing someone, he probably wasn't alone.

"I just fought that archer woman and beat her. Talked a little after. Want to fight more still." Üllr shrugged, "But you're okay, good." She had a good word to say about Jeremiah, so it seemed like she worked out that previous grievance well. That was also good. "Kind of want to try him, but people keep fighting. If he's too tired, it's not worth--"

Like almost everyone else, Elisa's display caught Üllr's attention, flinching and turning to the pillar of fire until it faded. "So many strong people..." Knowing the ceiling was that high was... something. Motivating and daunting.

  23. "Oh?" Bonner didn't expect the android to have further detailed information about the facility, but that was a good start. "HEX-sized High Performance Boosters, huh? That's good to know. Thank you, Hannah." Seemed like a lovely place for researchers, and perhaps some extraneous projects. "Hmm..." I wonder what else will be disclosed to us. Depending on things, I don't imagine the facility will be eager to share, even if we play for the same team. The less people that know...

Most people seemed pretty solidly stuck on their thoughts for now, as Bonner gave a quick glance around the room. Surely a lot on their minds --for those that were there, from the shock, and from those that weren't, from the heavy news--. "Well, Captain," He paused, turning to Sia with a charismatic, soft smile. "It seems like we've only got a few avenues for progress, what say you?"

  24. Studying the Texts

    Spoiler

Üllr had returned to where they’d spent the night with the clothes they’d purchased, waiting in his room as Iris told him she was getting changed. Guess she really liked what she bought… He resigned himself to waiting, wondering where they’d go next, with food being in his mind for now. Could use something less gamey now that they were in town…

It had taken Iris a moment to get her new clothes on, especially the ‘top’, which was basically a strip of clothing that she had to adjust around her upper half and her arms. She was dextrous enough to get it on, finally tying it and inspecting herself in a mirror. A lot of her body’s purple stripes were visible now, along with a lot of her white skin, especially with shorts on downstairs. “I hope… I hope he likes it. I really hope he likes it… I wanna… I wanna do more with him. I don’t know what more is, but my body can tell… It wants something more. Hhhn… Ullr…” Iris took a deep breath and left the side room she’d changed in, coming back to her room with Ullr. “Confidence…”

She opened the door and stepped inside, all smiles, eyes watching him. She had to hold her confidence, she wanted to get him riled up. “Hey there, Ullr~” With slow, steady steps, Iris approached Ullr, stretching her arm towards him and pressing a finger onto his chest. “Well? You like what you see, doggy…?”

"Ah…!" And there was Iris, wearing something notably different than usual, with a top far more revealing than usual, if it could be called that. Üllr didn't know how to handle her new demeanor, frozen until she touched his chest. "Hrr? Uh, yes? What are you up to…" This was weird, very weird, but not in a discomforting way. "It's, smaller than your shirt." She had his attention, for sure, as the wag of his tail belied. Üllr was open to her following actions.

“Yeahhhh… And what else? Tell me everything.” Iris didn’t bother waiting, pushing herself onto his lap, sitting on Ullr with her legs wrapping around his waist. Her arms rested idly on top of his shoulders, all smiles staring at him. “Are you feeling… Warm? Excited? Is your heart racing? Tell me everything, Ullr… And tell me how I make you feel. Because you make me feel a lot of things… Things I’d be happy to tell you, if you think you can handle hearing them~”

"Mmrr… warm? Yeah…?" Üllr wasn't understanding what he was feeling, but with Iris sitting on his lap promptly, maybe he didn't need to. It was weird, but nice. He embraced Iris in a hug, arms around her. "Mmm… it's nice, I like it… I don't know why… but, I can't sit still." It wasn't like a fight at all, and yet, he was feeling so worked up. "Mmm, t-tell me…"

“You got some of it already, Ullr. Warm. Unable to sit still… Like a rush of adrenaline, this want to move. To touch. You can move your hands lower, you know. I'm sure you want to, even if you don't understand why~” Iris’ heart was beating so fast, trying to stay sultry and in control, but she knew she was slipping too. Ahhhhhh, I wanna touch! I wanna kiss! I wanna lose myself in him, but he still doesn't get it! Or, like, he gets it, but only in feeling, and he's not pushing those feelings, arrrrgh… Th-The guy in the book was all over her once she started talking like this, what am I missing?

Iris let her tail curl up around Ullr, running it along his back. She slipped a claw onto his chin and turned his face up to meet hers, smiling. “Anything else… You wanna do? Puppy~?”

"Uhhh…?" Üllr was still grappling with Iris' forwardness, how much she was into this… and if she was instructing him to be more forward, it was probably okay. With claws moving along her waist, grabbing them readily, Üllr pulled Iris closer, real close, as their faces were unbearably close, feeling the warm breath of each other's. "Mmm…. y-yeah, I do…" He didn't understand much of why people did it, but he knew what was a kiss, and soon leaned forward to meet Iris' lips with his own.

“Hyah!?” Iris let out something of a squeak as she was pulled that close, face lighting up purple as she blushed hard, her bravado fading swiftly as Ullr took over. “I always forget just how strong you are…” This was it… This was the moment they'd lock lips and share in that passionate feeling of bliss. Iris slowly closed her eyes, feeling Ullr on her as he kissed her, her body's immediate urge to push forward against him, melt into the kiss, even let out the smallest moan~ “Mnhn, Ullrmmnhn…!” A sudden energy hit her, a rush of feelings and emotions, so strong, urges she'd never felt before! We have to do more than kiss! We have to!

“Hmmmrr…” Focusing on the kiss, Üllr kept holding Iris close, it was easy to forget her weight, with his strength, and like she said, this feeling was… nice. He didn’t know what else was there to do, what couples did, but for now, it was good to have this feeling with Iris. Without thinking, Üllr’s hug was tighter, and he let the kiss end a bit more out of breath than expected, his lupine tail wagging fast. “That was good… you were right.” His chest was warm, much warmer than usual, but it wasn’t unbearably so, almost comfy… Üllr struggled to understand the sense in these feelings, but for now it didn’t matter much. Iris mattered, and that was enough.

“Mnnhahh, Ullrrrrr…” Iris’ heart was beating so hard she could hear it in her ears. Her body needed more. It needed so much more… but before that…

“Hey… I w-wanna say a few, things.” She gulped, a claw sliding into Ullr's hair and petting him. “I… I threw away, my magic. You know that. I told you, but it's, b-because of you. Because I can't let this damn, voice in me, hurt what I have. Family. Friends… a lover. You all inspire me, to be ‘Iris’. You gave me this name, Ullr… it means so much to me. You mean so much to me. And I want you to tell me everything about you… All your feelings. All your wants. All your dreams… I want to be here to see you achieve them. To help you achieve them. To stand by your side through all of it…”

She gently kissed him again, smiling so brightly. “Thank you. For liking me. For treating me so kindly… For giving me a name and giving me a family. All I did was get angry at some people holding you captive… And whether or not you know it, you've done so much more for me. Thank you, Ullr…”

As the moment stopped and Iris moved to  speak of her feelings for the wolfboy –strong feelings at that–, Üllr didn't know how to reply. Rather, it felt pretty inappropriate to interrupt, when she was pouring her heart this hard. This, Üllr understood. "Yeah… you were the first person that helped me. Back when the soldiers thought I was smuggling something. You risked yourself to free me. It's not common. Not from what I learned while living. I was only used to grandpa helping." It was far less eloquent, but his feelings mirrored her in many ways. He didn't share her experiences, but he was a survivor of  horrible treatment by humans all the same…

Üllr was beginning to understand the emotions boiling over, holding Iris in that tight embrace, giving her another passionate kiss. "Thank you too, Iris. You trusted me, and I trust you. I will fight if anything bad tries to happen to you. You're my friend… and. More." He certainly yearned for more, hands keeping Iris on his lap, running along her slim curves, wishing to prolong that content. "Mm, Iiiiiiiris…" So cute…

“Mmhn… Nh, heheh~ Anyone should have helped you. These people are too stuck in their ways… I can get along with humans just fine. But, these Islexians, those knights, they want Monsters. So let’s show them some monsters~” Iris had no qualms with giving the Islexians exactly what they wanted to get back at them for how they’d treated her, Alriana, Ullr; so many of the Tigers had suffered at the hands of humans that just didn’t like them for existing. I’ll show them what they get for pushing us so far…

Her thoughts were quickly moved away from that as Ullr’s hands ran across her skin, making her shudder and let out a small whine, swallowing pretty hard. “H-Heyyy… Geez… You’re gonna get a girl all worked up, y’know… I hope you’re much more than my friend, Ullr~ What say… You and I do whatever we want, until we’re satisfied. We do whatever feels good… How’s that sound?” Her tail swayed behind her, the tip whipping and flicking. “I’ve got a lot of stamina.”

"Eh…" There was a lot going on in Iris' mind that Üllr was taking time to pick up, between her thoughts on those that hated them, to… the more immediate feelings. She was always very free and open to following her heart, after all… "Mmm." Yeah, he could learn from it. His mind and heart wanted to focus on this moment… and then he could focus on the bigger picture and get stronger later. "No one to bother us… let's stay here." It was time to just think of himself, and Iris.

"Hmm. Good reasons." Üllr nodder promptly, feeling satisfied with the answer. "The Underground are those guys that attacked us and took Alvira and Syndra, yeah? We'll beat them." He hit a balled fist against his palm, the memories of that night coming to him vividly. "They're bad people, so they'll come after us. After we broke into that place, for sure."

Üllr's train of though was disturbed by the end of Iris' spar, seeing her flop onto the floor as a mess. "Ah... I have to go. Thanks for the talk, Nyx." Grateful to stretch his fists, but more worried about Iris' situation, he ended the conversation and made it to her side with quick steps, waiting for the sheep to do her magic. "Thank you..." He didn't quite know how to address the newcomer yet, but it was good that she was another healer in their ranks. Maybe he'd struggle less in the fields next... "Hmm... Iris, are you okay?" He lowered to his knee, looking at her situation... "Hm!" it was almost enough to distract him from the bit burst of magic as Kise and Jeremiah duked it out, which scared him into a defensive stance for a second, before he calmed down as the match ended quickly and impressively. "Strong..." For as magically illiterate as he was, Üllr was notably sensitive to it.

"You know I agree with you on that, Captain. This line of thought has only made our people more divided, it's a shame to think of the kind of life this girl was robbed from." Owen spoked sternly, thinking back to their discussion in the privacy of the Keep's walls a short while prior. That Sylmaria was this convinced of her unnaturality was a tale that reflected the life of many, an uncomfortable truth of the situation that was easy to forget --even with the imaginary line dividing their territories so close. "Mmm. I don't think she'll be getting other ideas on the way there... not with people like Alvira ready to snap back at her. Besides, she wants to be with her friends most of all. This is something you can work in your favor. I'm pretty sure this Giovanna wasn't informed about Sylmaria's suicide attack, from our talks."

"I'd like to think my reputation, dirtied as it is, is nowhere near that man's level." Owen forced a smile after that, "Every victory will give my name validity. And with that, more people will choose me as the 'devil that they know', until Islexia's impression on monsters change for the better." Even the best speeches weren't enough for somebody who was taught to hate so deeply in his heart, and Owen was starting to accept he would never have people's full support in this climate, but his cogs were still turning, determined to lay the path down for his ideals. "I must say, Tio's impassioned speech gives quite a weight on my shoulders, I hope I can meet those words." It was fascinating to Owen how much she was invested and trying, even with Sylmaria's silver tongue.

"...Oh?" As a bit of a break from the topic, another Clouded stepped in for his attention. A familiar one. "Oh, Mina. 'Tis good to see you, business, or something more?" With a step back, he gave space to the two. "Please, don't mind my presence." It was not like there was a lack of activities worth of audience at this time, between the many spars, Jeremiah and the Tiger's kitsune found themselves in a mighty match, too fast for his eyes. Owen could barely tell the use of magic by the fox, not very acquainted with the trade, but still enough to realize it was something else. And Jeremiah... Hard to think of his position when he's such a capable fighter. Truly a gulf between us...
