I wonder if I should deploy my max stat units or not for that; or should forged weapons over the normal ones be enough? I'm scared it'll turn into a war of attrition.

If you want an easy time with Aversa's paralogue, you could do two strong units with the rest being low level Einherjar, although that would defeat the purpose of facing enemies just as tough as yours. So, there are ways to beat it, just remove annoying skills like Counter, Lethality and Vengeance so the enemy can't use them against you.

Well, my main worry is the ones who've gotten enough speed to double just about anyone else. On harder modes, needless to say, you're at an innate disadvantage unless you're capped.
