Same here actually...the armor designs have just gotten more and more ridiculous with each new game to me anyway.

And this one just looks preggers.
I agree that Fire Emblem normal is totally out the window here in some cases.
Aside from that, it's kind of a neat feature, though I'd rather not get a guilt trip when selling useless peoples' items.

[spoiler=How Ike arrived on Valencia/Valm]Ike is explicitly stated to have "come from another world" in FE13. This pretty much spells out that interdimensional travel was involved in Ike's journey from Tellius to Valencia.
That makes sense then. I hope it's not canon though, the whole Otherworld Gate thing sounds a bit gimmicky to me. Fan service is nice, but I'd rather they not mess with the other games.

I know FE has been a handhold series for quite a few games, but I tend to enjoy consoles a lot more in terms of playing games. I'd love to see Fire Emblem go to the Wii U! If they put the effort in I'm sure the Wii U could have a spectacular FE game. FE10 gets a lot of hate, but I appreciate all the little details they put into that game, it's among my favorites for sure.
From what I've seen of Awakening so far, the story seems okay. For some reason it doesn't quite captivate me as much as 9/10.

It just seems odd to me that Ike's descendant would even be in this game. Could it be more of a cameo than something that is actually canon? That's how I would prefer to think of it in any case. I believe I saw somewhere that he doesn't actually play a role in the storyline, though I haven't actually played through the game and I don't know all the details. So I could be wrong.
Could the world around Tellius actually not have all been completely flooded then? xD

Got the artbook today, but didn't get the game...
That sucks. o.o How does that work? I wish I could get the art book, but Gamestop hasn't been able to do preorders for the normal game for awhile now. -.-

Kita. I thought the designs/style of FE 9/10 (especially 10) were really well done. I do like Kozaki's work (Chrom and Lucina especially), but there's something about it that bothers me a bit, can't quite put my finger on it. Also, IMO, the generic classes in Awakening look pretty stupid. Some of those portraits are just like, ehhhh...? And then there's Kallum.

I took a look and admittedly, most of all the character portraits look awful to me. I like the armor designs of previous games way better. Out of what we have though: Trickster, Swordmaster, Dark Knight, maybe War Monk/Cleric.

Because having Dracoknights that ride wyverns is far less silly than having Wyvern Riders that... ride wyverns.

Besides, it's entirely possible to have a Dracoknight that marries Tiki or Nowi or Nn. It would probably make things really awkward if they mounted a dragon while mounting dragons.
Call it personal preference in a name. Dracoknight also has precedence though.
I'd prefer Falcoknight > Pegasus Rider too.
As a side note, it was cool to see Awakening will actually have griffins or falcons, or whatever,

For me, it's mainly just because she was a bad unit. If she destroyed people, I'd have no problem using her. Although if it came between her and a character design I actually liked for Endgame, then yes, I'd drop her lol.

FE10. It lacked supports, but I enjoyed its story/length, different perspectives, and the skill system. I also really appreciated all the little details of it--the extra animations, the different battle music, sky battles, changing backgrounds, etc. It just had more polish to it. That being said, the balance could be better, but I think it was a damn good attempt. The ending also seemed rushed.

I wasn't aware Kid Icarus had such drastic changes. I think it'll be more or less the same. Although I heard they did kind of change Marth's personality in Shadow Dragon. -_-; So, you never know I guess. Although Dracoknight to Wyvern Rider and all of that seemed a bit unnecessary. Wtf Dark Flier?

This has been my go-to Fire Emblem site for awhile now, I just haven't registered on the forums before. I like FEPlanet too, but it's pretty dead over there. >.>; Anyhoo~let the good times roll!
My favorite FE is RD (and I actually <3 the Dawn Brigade xD) but I'm totally hyped for Awakening. I like most RPGs/Stratgey in general, but I'm glad I ended up buying Fire Emblem instead of finding whatever the hell I was actually looking for. Um, look forward to posting and whatnot. ^^; So yeah, good to meet you all. And I will take a look at the rules/regulations of the site. ;P

Pretty much agree with this. With proper advertising it should be more mainstream. Other RPG series like Final Fantasy have the benefit of being more entrenched in NA.
