  1. Hi complete and utter novice when it comes to hacking and putting roms/emulators on my computer.

I currently have SNES9x set up through a OpenEmu(to bypass Catalina due to Mac since it makes 32 bit stuff unusable) I got the patch and rom downloaded fine, the only thing I wanted to add is from the optional section, now I was able to patch them thanks to the website you provided in the patchnotes... but I can't seem to get the WEXP optional patch into the game, This is the only real quality of life choice I want (since I want a mostly authentic Thracia experience so no changing placements and stuff) Im just curious how to patch this into my rom. Ive been trying to figure it out for an hour before work but im stumped... so if you could offer a solution then I would be very appreciative. Thank you.

  2. To me I think it could be Tatiana...

also the one on the left oddly to me looks like Python (also looks to be an archer cause I think I see a quiver near the neck area) but I highly doubt it’s Python..

also Sigurd and Deidre makes a lot of sense but yeah we don’t have that many characters with extremely long flowing hair the ones I can think off are Azura (who has a PA already) Oliva (who also has a PA already) Deidre, and Taitana.

they also for PA love to pick two different units from two different games... but since a TT is coming soon it’s likely we are getting a TT PA unit...

but yeah this looks like Sigurd and Deirdre if people say so...

    As I suspected...

Funny; it's for that reason that I like pairing Lysithea with Linhardt: he's able to give her a full life, and she gives him the thing he knows he's missing in regards to his research: motivation. So, it ends up being good for both of them.

Well the people who give Lysithea a good ending are Edelgard, Hannenman, Linhardt and Byleth… and also supposedly (Based off the ending since it doesn't confirm/deconfirm if Claude found a cure) Claude too.

Is it what I'm already suspecting it is after seeing Linhardt and Flayn's C-Support?

      Reveal hidden contents

Flayn and Seteth are Cethleann and Chicol, respectively?

    To answer that question...

Their birthdays is the key to that answer... though its not really hard to figure it out at all

As for this question I really like Hapi, and being married to her makes her life better (similar to Byleth being married to Lysethia gives Lysethia one of her few endings that actually let her live a full life... the saddest of her endings is pretty much Felix X Lysethia…)

This looks awesome. I was wondering if they'd use that wolf emblem in the DLC and indeed they did. I had thought it'd be cool if they did another house, but I didn't think they actually would. The new characters for the most part look pretty awesome. I'm pretty pleased.

I saw that they mentioned Hilda and Edelgard will be able to fight together. I'm guessing this is just for certain missions? Or will Hilda now be recruitable for the Crimson Flower route?

Hmm that seems strange... although I thought there was some story reason to why Hilda dislikes Edelgard…

The other three characters I love the looks of. Yuri looks like hes an offbrand lord... which I suppose is kind of a joke since well... hes the house leader and all the other house leaders are "lords" so I guess that would be the same applied to Yuri too.

Edit: so I actually googled it and someone from Gamefaqs made a good point

Basically she openly says two things- 1- she is not a fan of Edelgards ideas, and wouldn't agree to going all out war with the rest of Fodlan
2- She has a deep connection to Claude and cant fight against him, she basically deeply respects claude and is the only person she literally would die for and that makes sense as Silver snow, Blue Lions, and Golden Deer routes you wont ever fight Claude at all... in Blue Lions and Black Eagles you see her ready to die in order to protect Claude.

As for why she is there in the "Crimson flower" route... people mentioned that all of the people we can see in that cutscene... are actually units that support with the various 4 dlc units... so they could be there as the story intends... maybe since they are the first ones to see and meet the 4 dlc chars that's why they support with them???

Makes me wonder what they’ll do with those gauntlet relics. I’m not expecting introducing a new weapon either, as those are a very new addition to the franchise, plus, only two characters (prior to the DLC) are depicted as their weapon of choice, so it’s not like they have much to use them on anyway. Nothing stops them to make the gauntlets an ability or special however

If I remember from the trailer... he looks like he attacks at range with them... that or it might be his special personal skill (due to them being useable thanks to him having the crest for said weapon)

But it definently looks like he attacks at range... maybe the special art from the gauntlets lets you attack at a distance?

Edit: he uses an art called Pneuma Gale... I don't remember that being in the game, possibly the special art of the gauntlets?

  7. You can easily break Lachesis/Raquesis by giving her a paragon ring and return staff... spam that a bit and you get level 20 no problem

same with all the healers in this game... since Return + Paragon grants 60 EXP per use... if she could warp and paragon she gets 100 exp (but she cant)

The strat you didn't use is to have Dew steal gold early on to buy the paragon ring... or capture the first initial castle quickly in Chapter 2 so she can visit the village and obtain the Bargain Ring.... (Though I recomeend doing this when you have cleared Castle 1 and 2 though... since Castle 3 is nice enough to wait for you to approach them)

  8. They also seem to sometimes do briefly different things... the one with the sword symbol will attack opponets sometimes in battle

The shield will sometimes block opponets attacks for one strike

And the healer randomly heals you (I found this one out when Annette took a bad hit but Mercedes top her to full a turn later..)

So its basically like a more fair/random Pair up... that lets you increase supports, and gain EXP (Normal, class exp and WEXP)  for units you aren't using or want to have as backups on classic in case you lose a unit or two

Edit: don't think its random... the shield one gave me a warning that despite taking two hits it was crossing out the 2X... when I went into battle Gilbert blocked a hit... so I think it can be told on the status screen

  9. Likely be a shadow patch.. or one that just appears randomly without any adomishment or acknowledgement from Nintendo and will just appear randomly for you to download...

Also its not like Byleth has much of a voice anyways... it cant take them too long to replace his lines.... but yeah if you really feel that way in the meantime use the female Byleth

  10. This is pretty good man...  Also damn never knew Seteth had 5 strengths and one weakness.... the hell how can a unit like that be allowed to be used

Also having a list of lost items and who they go till will help a lot of people mainly because if you don't talk to everyone or support some people you wouldn't know things like Bernadetta has the needle cause she can do very good sew work.

Same as any other Knights/Church members, just requires level. He's definitely got the lowest requirement out of them though.

However it should be noted that I think you cant recruit him at all in BE route, just like Catherine... or if you do recruit him you lose him if you choose the alternate route

  12. During my playthrough im still trying to salvage Petra... my petra who I sent down the Pegasus knight route has horrible speed (19) bad strength (14) and such.... I saved her by making her a wyvern knight out of necessity...

I also keep getting speed screwed on my lords Edelgard and Dimitri in my two runs... Edelgard had a whopping 10 speed as a lord at level 20, Dimitri only has 13 at the same level

Meanwhile Annette im slowly giving up on as she doesn't proc speed as is almost the same speed tier as my Dedue (9 speed as a Brigand at level 19... made him a Brigand to pick up Death Blow... and I recruited Dorothea into the Lions and she does incredible amounts of damage...

Also for the Lions nearly gave up on Cyril and Ashe... but they are turning out more decent... especially Ashe who had a pitiful speed number and was getting doubled to death... now has a speed that prevents him from being doubled most times.  not as good as say Shamir, Catherine, Felix, and Byleth who are basically all leading this team..

  13. After you beat the chapter your given a prompt to Execute her or side with her, execute = Church, side = Edelgards route

Actually I think its before the chapter cause I think you need to beat Rhea... or that might be Chapter 12 idk this is based on small bits off footage I saw from Gameexplain

  14. Hi so to answer your question the Church path is about as long as Claudes and Dimitris, with Edelgards being the shortest path.

It shows the opposite situation of how the church is portraited than the one Edelgard shows, and gives you a lot of backstory for the Church and some more "spoilerly" members you had to fight in the Edelgards route..

Also important to note you lose your Lord and Hubert, in turn you keep four units one of whom is the oppressively strong Catherine... and (I haven't played it yet but) you have to maybe protect Rhea as she joins you as an NPC unit

No, I actually meant Ocarina of Time because it was a minor thing that affected one specific area; the Temple of Time. I was using this as a reference because it didn't really have too much of an effect on the story, which is what I'm hoping for in Three Houses.

Hmm I get it but I don't know how much time travelling we do... or maybe we look into the past which will be stuff like the story we pick (I.e how fates did its "pick your side" cutscene... by showing you the fateful decision first, then going back in time to the beginning of the game.

or another example P5 where the main character is retelling the entire story to Sae, basically the entire past section is a flash back sequence, and then it skips to present in the house of your choice, supporting the lord you choose in the past.

Another way ive seen is maybe it starts in the future, then you go back into the past to try and prevent the future outcome, or make it a much better outcome then is already given...

Uhh, I think you should've mentioned Oracle of Ages instead of Ocarina of Time; your actions in the past actually did affect the future (or should I say present). I don't remember that happening that much, if at all, in Ocarina.

*Coughs loudly* I think you mean Majora's mask... considering your going in and out of time at many points of the game... and time travelling is literally the main mechanic of the game.

He was said to have mental issuesdue to trauma.

And he looks much better like Thani said

He looks better? he looks like Thor from Thor Rangarok…

Also I hope that we get more units post timeskip… because if not we have a total of only 8 units per house... I know we will get a lot more post timeskip now.... if not I guess make every step carefully then.
