  1. If it had not been for my current (erratic) schedule.

I would be doing this workout weekly...

    3-6 miles of running/walking

3-8 hours of various cardio activities: sports, workout regiments including that craze called Insanity and etc.

3-10 miles of hiking/rock climbing (yes this and running deserved separate categories).

However I had to tone it down given everything being scheduled random every week.

  2. I haven't actually seen a bootleg copy of FE8, but I've seen plenty of legit copies (which have the two dragon-things behind the title, and AGB-AE8).

Another thing: Bootleg copies of FE7 showed the three lords, didn't they? Legit copies should show a crossed sword and axe (Durandal and Armads) on a beige background.

I think I might have seen a picture of a copy of FE8 that had pictures of Eirika and Ephraim on the cartridge label, and I assume that they're bootleg too. Legit copies of any GBA Fire Emblem game will not have pictures of people on the cartridge label.

Most definitely. As an update, I received my copies of Blazing Sword and Sacred Stones. Having lots of fun with BS, just about to acquire Lyn's throne. Sacred Stones, I'll put on the back burner until I finish Blazing Sword.

  3. fuck japanese kit kats. shit gave me a bad stomach.

That's one aspect in your life you are missing out on. But kit kats aren't for everyone sadly enough...

Dude when I did that speech contest they gave us some Japanese candy/treats in addition to some other cool prizes, and I have to say that I think melon bread is actually pretty good. But they also gave us some kind of....seaweed cracker...thing. I'm not sure how I can even categorize it other than to say that if I were to guess what literal human shit tasted like, I would assume it would be less repellent than those cookie-things. Like wow. They were just. What kind of human being would eat those things willingly

I don't know about the seaweed cracker. However a good melon pan is hard to come by in the U.S. unless....

    a) You go to the Mitsuwa Marketplace (any branch in Los Angeles will do) and purchase one from one of the bakeries or confectionary spots in house.

    b) Find a confectionary/patisserie/bakery that's super nippongo authentic. There's one in Orange County and I only go there for four particular items, the melon pan is definitely one of them.

Now all this talk of pan makes me want to watch yakitate Japan :).

  4. Super Robot Wars W > Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation 2 > Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation > Any spinoff of SRT:OG

Now if only Super Robot Wars UX wasn't region locked. Darn Japan....

  5. 1) Crono Trigger**

    2) Mario Kart DS

    3) Pokemon any one of these (Platinum, Heart Gold or Black)

    4) Animal Crossing: Wild World (was lucky enough to get some nintendo furniture for my house)

    5) Advance Wars Dual Strike (DoR was kind of bleh for me)

**Honorable Mention (and possibly my official number 1 if only it were NTSC localized): Super Robot Wars Taisen W. Despite lack of Japanese language skills and only learning from tutorials on youtube in confirming actions. You had all the greatest modern robos from the 80s to early 2000s. Gundam Wing, Voltron and the original SRWW bots themselves are all greatly designed.

(Just started playing Shadow Dragon, haven't gotten far enough whether the remake is worth top five of my all time despite enjoying Fire Emblem overall as a franchise).

  6. Zerker, this thread is beautiful.

Honestly, though, lorewise, there could be a few options. Half-sibling would work, but unrelated drifter could work as well.

And make it be less incest than normal for a Fire Emblem game.

    Relevant.

    wincest.

    super incest -.-

Rightful King means you're of royal blood. Marrying with the same blood make you purer?

They should give Rightful God when Tiki marry with MU.

Same should be apply with MU x Nah.

  7. So I am a complete deviant art x fire emblem search noob.

Was wondering if anyone has created or attempted to creatively add every single fire emblem lord there is from all the game iterations onto a single wallpaper desktop in HD?

Helpful info is appreciated as always, cheers!

  8. My jaw dropped at that price man. D8; Holy crap, how pricy!

I know, but I really want it especially since I still have my original nintendo ds/gba console :).

Yeah, flashcarts run stuff off microsd cards.

And I still have my original Fire Emblem cartridge from 2003, and it still plays perfectly, so I personally can't say that the constant saving is an issue at all. Unless the new copies you tracked down aren't that much more expensive than used, I'd say just go ahead and get used cartridges.

Nice pretty lucky, sounds good I found one on ebay that's reasonable.

A word of warning if you get a used FE7 cart: Some bootleg copies were made of the European version, with the (fake) code AGB-AF6E-USA. A legit American copy will read, in the lower right, AGB-AE7E-USA.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE HEADS UP. I saw, a lot of the AGB-AF6's being sold on both ebay and amazon prime. I'm about to purchase used cartridges of both fe and sacred stones. Do I have to worry about counterfeit copies on sacred stone or not so much?

  9. *high fives with a confused look on face*

*high fives back* yeah somewhat confusing. See I don't like the idea of my cartridges being "homeless." Hence the need to find them a "home."

awesome me! to i went to gamestop for a new 3ds battery and i was looking at the DS games and i finaly found Shadow Dragon to but no case tho.

Score! Yeah I totally lucked out... now if only I began my search for GBA games perhaps I would have been fortunate to get my hands on GBA Fire Emblem and Sacred Stones

  10. Euklyd, already posted an awesome response.

I would say, have fun with the first few walkthroughs and experiment (what I'm doing).

Break the game with galeforce children, extra manaketes or super broken dark magicians (sounds like yugioh).

The sequential playthroughs after you get the hang of the game. Set the difficulty you want to achieve for yourself and do pairings (canon or non-canon) and see what works best with your play style.

    have fun!

  11. Not sure what I'd search for to find a thread about this because there's no real universal name for the mechanic as far as I'm aware. Not that it needs one.

Awakening allowed you to choose to view battles from the side, from multiple angles, or view from a first person perspective and speed up or slow down the speed of the battle. Do you always fuck around with these settings, and what settings do you usually stick with?

Personally I always choose the side view and speed up every single battle if I'm not skipping entire turns with the start button or skipping all the battles. It's something I rarely see people do in gameplay videos so it made me wonder if I'm the only one who even uses it. I've used Speed Up so much that normal speed just seems really slow to me. Too slow in fact so I end up speeding it up anyway. Sometimes I use the first person view if I'm curious as to what specific moves might look like from that perspective.

    dat bolded text for me

  12. Wassup everyone,

Been busy updating a lot of stuff (not gaming related just online in general).

I decided, since my last dialogue to go with the suggestions for the previous chars, and add Limit Breaker to all of the ones highly suggested once I beat a certain DLC. With that said here's the next batch for scrutiny in adjustments of skill sets and final class.

    Gaius; Warrior:

Skills: Movement +1, Lethality, Pass, Vantage and HP +5 (gonna switch this out with Counter).

I'm thinking of adding Despoil (he is a thief at heart after all) and Acrobat (once I go through trickster) later, then putting Locktouch back on to make him a melee and highly moving char. As for final class, although he looks better as a thief maybe he can be this version's Jaffar?

    Tharja, Sniper:

Skills: Hex, Anathema, Prescience, Tomebreaker, Vengeance.

Since I want her to sire some archer traits to give to Noire before her paralogue probably gonna switch out Hex and Anathema for Bowfaire and maybe Lifetaker (if I'm not too lazy to grind for Tharja). As for final class, I'm thinking Dark Knight or Sorcerer Tank (Nosferatu, Vengeance, etc.)

    Gregor, Berzerker:

Skills: Patience*, Wrath*, Sol, Armsthrift and Axebreaker

I'm thinking to switch Wrath and Patience for Astra and Swordfaire (or Vantage). Final class, probably hero?

    Cherche, Griffon Rider:

Skills: Tantivity*, Renewal, Strength +2*, Rally Luck* and Swordbreaker

I'm thinking to switch tantivity for Lancebreaker, Strength +2 (Iote's Shield or Dual Support+ as an alternative), and Rally Luck for Deliverer). Final class, obviously wyvern lord.

    Lonqu, Assassin:

Skills: Avoid +10*, Swordfaire*, Lethality, Vantage and Astra.

Thinking to switch avoid for Acrobat. Swordfaire for Limit Breaker or Pass? Final class, Swordsmaster suits him well.

    Nah, Manakete:

Skills: Odd Rhythm*, Swordbreaker, Aegis, and Wyrmsbane. No 5th skill at the moment.

5th skill possibilities, Lifetaker, Limit Breaker, Galeforce (had I done a better pairing, shame on me). Final class, obviously Manakete.

This is my update for now. Again thanks for all future input.

  13. I think you may have misunderstood. DLC carries over because you've already bought it. Beating the DLC has nothing to do with playing it on a later file. If I am misunderstanding what you're saying, I apologize. If I am interpreting what you said correctly, then I apologize for causing the misunderstanding in the first place.

No worries its a slight misunderstanding. I wanted to merely explore all of the DLCs on normal/casual. That way when I get to higher difficulty modes, I know which ones to focus on instead of dilly-dallying with grinding or beating them over again on harder difficulties.

That is possible; if your characters are relatively low-leveled, then they'll generally level up from killing a single Entombed, and if you're training up all six characters you bring along, then you may be getting more EXP. For now. There will come a point, however, when killing even the Lv. 30 Entombed will only net you 8 EXP, and when that time comes, EXPonential Growth loses its utility.

Also, if you're training a single character, LB3 is useful because the enemies must attack you, rather than try to escape.

Yeah I haven't gotten to that point yet, I guess I should even do a single character level up run once they get stronger. My Olivia can't even puncture anybody on LB3 and she even has a tough time with low level entombed (just goes to show how low leveled the rest of my bench is compared to my regular chars on rotation.
