  1. Nope. I don't recommend listening to any gameplay recommendations.
  2. Speaking of ingame dates, those are missing in Awakening too and personally I'd rather have them than ages if we could only have one. But Awakening's Harvest Scramble Morgan-F/Nah support pretty much openly states that they wanted to leave the ages ambiguous- the whole convo is about Nah's age, and when she finally tells it's "whisper whisper". Unless something has changed since Awakening (which it has, new story guy and all), there's no reason to expect anything different. Headcanons are kind of what Awakening runs on.
  3. Half brother I could definitely see, and is the kind f thing I'd expect from FE. Full brother? I dunno, has FE ever had a case of one full sibling having a supernatural eye color and the other not?
  4. I know I'm procrastinating but I'll do one tomorrow. I've had a bit of a long day. You can look here if you're impatient: http://serenesforest.net/awakening/miscellaneous/calculations/ Diabeasty: Is there some specific threshold you need them to overcome or goal you want them to meet? Because if not, this is the kind of situation were I prefer to let aesthetics tip the balance and go with classes I think just look cool.
  5. Not unless you've been backing up your saves to your SD card (digital) or own and have been using a save dongle (physical). Basically no, but you should look into doing one of those if you want to take steps against this happening again.
  6. Wow, we have like exactly the same mains. Except with different colors. I do feel like my mains are going to shift less this time around too, most of the cast just doesn't feel right any more. Means I can't go Random and hope to win. Boo.
  7. The big Hit threshold is 220- that's what you need for 100% on all non-boss enemies.
  8. Does that stop people from complaining about it? Whether they're wrong or not, they've got the money. Though personally I'd like to see weapon diversity play a greater role.
  9. I've got it on like four units in my 100% DS team. The thing about it is, when you're running Skl+2 to hit a DS threshold but then wind up being 1 over... Switching to it doesn't drop you under that threshold but does give you a small boost to other stats. It's quite useful in that very specific context. There's no room for it in standard LB/GF/Faire/Proc/Proc builds, though, since it only ever is put on after All+2 is already in place and would leave two slots at most for things like GF, Agg, Faires and Procs. That Atk stat seems really low. Are you sure (don't forget to add your weapon of choice)?
  10. It does. Having it on Morgan effectively modifies Nah's pairup bonus to him since it only is effective when he's receiving her bonus, and thus it's simpler to lump it in with the pairup calculations than to put it anywhere else. I probably should have been clearer- Morgan and Nah's pairup boosts refer to the stats they give, not receive.
  11. I'll use +Skl Lon'qu!Yarne!Morgan@Sniper married to Libra!Nah (the worst DS booster in the game, since her best class is Sage). Morgan will be a Sniper with LB/All+2/Skl+2/Defender- nothing else matters here besides achieving 100%. Nah will be a Sage with LB/All+2. Morgan's Skl: 48(base) +10(mods) +10(LB) +10(Rally) +2(All+2) +2(Skl+2) +2(tonic) =84 Nah's Skl: 43(base) +1(mods) +10(LB) +10(Rally) +2(All+2) +2(tonic) =68 Nah's pairup boost: 7+1 (Defender) =8 Morgan's pairup boost: 8 84+68+8 =160 It's completely Skl-perfect on both sides- neither one can possibly get any more bar Barracks and weapons. But it is enough.
  12. Go ahead, name your Avatar Doc. The only decisions that can ruin a first playthrough are not doing what you want and taking optimization and whatnot too seriously. There are subsequent playthroughs for that, so get the full experience from your first one.
  13. A properly prepared Morgan is actually capable of getting 100% DS with any unit in the game (that they can S with, of course) regardless of their parentage, provided Morgan's parentage, both classes, and all skills are under your control. This is true whether Morgan is leading or supporting, and assumes no Barracks Boosts or +Skl weapons. Just one of the fun things you learn while trying to squeeze every last drop out of a 100% DS team.
  14. Something funky is up. Your calcs are missing WRB and WT in general, nobody has any Faires listed, Thronie's Def is 5 too high and he doesn't have his Throne bonuses, and both the front and back units are getting pairup bonuses. Time for more Aether damage calcs. I'll assume the target is Anna as always. What are your Atk and Mag stats?
  15. Henry!Brady works too. But couldn't you lead with Kjelle against Thronie?
  16. People place emphasis on it because it's got the highest stats of any map and is thus "the ultimate challenge". It's kind a shame that things are that way because I'd love to see a postgame with multiple maps that are both even enough that you can't trash them with brute force (which can even be done to Apo) and different enough that different teams will be better suited to some and worse suited to others. It would make teambuilding and preparation a lot more interesting. Oh well.
  17. Won't Owain have magical DSes too? I think this is probably the superior option. Keep in mind that an Owain x Kjelle pair has a good few alternate sets they could run should you ever want to change your team up, and the extra Staffbots are really huge. Noire's damage will definitely be better than Kjelle's, but Owain isn't too far behind. You could also try to rework Brady into a Trickster to fill her role if you can free up someone for him- I recall he was a close second to Noire.
  18. In my 100% DS team I used Fred!Noire as a non-GF Sniper lead. That's the only serious postgame team I've made for a while (technically I'm still working on it but whatever).
  19. Oh hey, I remember you. Welcome back! The BK's helmet does come off but his face is still a standard Avatar build and unless you're both actively in your first PoR playthrough and are good at guessing it won't spoil anything. If you're just playing Awakening now, it has even less of a chance of spoiling something- the BK's alter ego isn't among the Spotpass characters so you've got no chance of accidentally noticing that two characters look alike. Renown doesn't buy anything, it unlocks things (as in you don't loose it for getting them). Some of these things are really important- you don't get another reliable Second Seal until Cht.8, there's 110,000 worth of gold items in there for getting some early forges and Boots are a non-renewable resource of which you only get one other pair. Every time you clear Grima your Renown for that file is saved and when you start another file it'll already have that much Renown. If you try to save a smaller amount of Renown than you already have though (make two files, do some grinding on one, save it, then save the other with no grinding) it will lower the saved amount so do keep that in mind.
  20. If his growth rates deliver, he shouldn't be taking any damage for Counter to activate on and even when it does it wouldn't aid him in getting any kills. It takes a bit more than that to make a unit "fantastic" in my book. Donnel!Kjelle has a relevant mod spread of 1/2/2 which is pretty close to the lowest in the game for a female lead who still has a full skillset- only topped by Donnel!Noire and her 2/-1/1. Donnel's mods stink, his class inheritance outside of Peg stinks and honestly I don't think even Peg is a compelling enough reason to use him as a father when your attack pairs really do have to be fantastic to compete for space with Staffbots. Being a child doesn't automatically guarantee you a spot in an Apo team. I usually don't use Donnel as a father.
  21. Only nice? He's like the best DS% booster in the game. Fred!Inigo has Paladin and Wyvern for extra final classes which are fun to have in non-Apo postgame and might be handy there too. Deliverer is also fun.
  22. Then if Validar's position was entirely voluntary, Robin definitely wouldn't be welcomed on grounds of ties to him (the crowning achievement of his reign was to feed the entire population to a dragon and give away all their gold and ships and stuff for free. Why would anyone want anything more to do with them?).
  23. Weapon type doesn't matter. If you're soloing, you're rolling in cash and can use whatever you want. Depending on your definition of grinding... Everyone can get started using only the enemies present in the main chapters and Paralogues, yes. No DLC, Skirmishes, Wireless etc.
  24. Seems like a perfectly fine explanation to me. Awakening didn't have any Yellow units though so I'm not expecting them by default.
