Only Female Corrin and Shigure from my wishlist from last year got Resplendent forms, so my wishlist is essentially the same as in 2023. Which 24 characters do you want Resplendent forms for in 2024? I hate the idea of alts getting Resplendent forms where there are still loads of eligible non-alt options, so all of the characters listed are in their normal forms and not alts. 1. I tried that with last year's list and ended up getting only four out of twenty four for my troubles. And yes, I do have two of Celica's alts listed because IS refuses to make any new ones I'm that desperate for Celica merges and I also really like Fallen Celica in particular. No, I am not sorry. I'm pretty sure he references the fact that the order of heroes capes would look good in a rosy pink color, so I'm just waiting to see if Heroes actually gives him the resplendent. Also a female Nidavellir unit and a male Alfheimr unit. Also beast characters. The most recent unit we currently has is Surtr, and the beast banners are right after his. The first two Fodlan banners also managed to sneak in right before CYL 3 and are in the range that I predict will still be eligible for Resplendent outfits. It would also be cool to see the Heroes Legendary and Mythic Heroes get outfits since those are the "base versions" of those characters. I am leaving the list of units known to be eligible as it is, including only units through Surtr's banner. Ilyana falls so far outside of the known range that it's somewhat pointless to list all of the units between her and Surtr, and we also don't have a pulse yet on why they decided to give her an outfit despite being significantly more recent. Logically speaking, Ilyana fits the functional purpose of the Resplendent Hero mechanic, which is to grant stat boosts to units that have outdated stats and don't have any other way of making up for them. Ilyana can only use inheritable weapons and is too recent to be on the radar for a refine, but has had her stats outclassed by another 4-star unit (Hestia). As such, the choice makes complete sense, and I don't think her getting a Resplendent outfit means that the floodgates are open in any way. I really hope Book 4 units don’t join the Resplendent pool this year, although it wouldn’t surprise me at all if they start giving some of the earlier Three Houses characters Resplendent forms. Hopefully we get some beasts as well. I forgot Ilyana had been added much later than all the other characters who got Resplendent forms. I started playing Heroes in mid-2020, and offhand I think Ilyana was added in late 2020. As for Resplendent Veronica, ugh. She’s the first alt of an alt this year, and probably not the last. I like Veronica as a character, but it annoys me every time I see a CYL winner get a Resplendent and yet I have a list in my head of plenty of other characters (some who don’t have any alts at all) who don’t have Resplendents who have been in the game for roughly the same amount of time or longer. In spite of that, I don’t think I’ll go for FEH Pass for this unless I also need FEH Pass to spark on a banner. Original Soren has one of my favorite neutral portraits in the game, and this Resplendent art, while not bad by any means, is a downgrade in my eyes. I’m not crazy about this outfit (I’m generally not a fan of the Hel outfits with a few exceptions like Eldigan, Lachesis and Karla.) Also, I see no reason to invest resources to build original Soren when CYL Soren is the same unit type (green tome infantry) and objectively better without tons of investment. Radiance now ties with Dawn for the origin mark with the highest percentage of units with Resplendent outfits. Hel now ties Muspell for the second highest number of outfits. Characters who are ''ambiguously gay'' as Tvtropes would put it are all on Hell, while those that they might or might not have a crush on are all in Muspel. Soren's in hell, Ike's in Muspell. I’ve already spoken my piece on alts getting Resplendents, and I hope they run out of CYL winner options soon (although the CYL 3 winners are looming in the distance.) Hopefully the CYL 3 winners won’t get Resplendent alts until we’re down the bottom-of-the-barrel choices for Resplendents and IS needs some popular characters as options. That being said, I’m quite fond of Celica as a character and her art is beautiful. If I have to get FEH Pass to spark for Emblem Marth, then Resplendent Soren and Resplendent Celica are VERY good Resplendents to receive. The next Resplendent Hero is Embla Brave Celica: Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler The Resplendent stat boost brings Celica's offenses up to 41/47 with maximum Dragonflowers. Her weapon is only slightly outdated, but +5/8/5/5 with +1 Special charge rate, post-combat Pulse, and post-combat healing is still pretty good and is comparable to Arcane weapons and early- and mid-Book-7 weapons. While she doesn't have the Slaying effect, the post-combat Pulse effect still allows her to run Godlike Reflexes or Vital Astra (the later with either the usual Time's Pulse 4 or Emblem Marth). Here are this year's Resplendent Heroes so far: Nifl Ilyana Askr Brave Veronica Hel Soren Embla Brave Celica With Brave Ephraim being the last unit to receive an outfit last year, it looks like we can potentially expect to get Brave Hector as the next-next unit. Embla was the third least recently released outfit prior to this one, with Sheena being the previously most recent Embla outfit released on 25 October 2023. Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler I have a complaint about the art this time, and it's the same complaint I had with her regular art. Gambesons are made of padded material and should have some thickness in its cross-section when damaged. They've gotten this wrong in every. single. one. of her damaged arts so far (regular, Resplendent, and Harmonized Cordelia). Selena's stats are unfortunately garbage. With maximum Dragonflowers and the Resplendent boost, she has 45+/33+/43/40/36-. Her defenses are actually pretty good, and you won't find any other sword infantry with defenses even close to hers until you get down to Itsuki's Spd, but it comes at the cost of having abysmally bad Atk. Additionally, her exclusive weapon is too outdated and is worse than both of her Arcane options, giving her no real option to fix her Atk stat. This brings Embla up to 15 total units, which is now tied with Muspell for the largest number. This is also the first Fates unit to receive an Embla outfit.
