Rei Rei
He was the only one that you really have to know the whole game; it's hard to not know that Eliwood is sick; you'd have to play Hector's story to know he's sick and it's only hinted at until he dies. So did many characters who survived the battle of Barhara. But they also say that she died in one of the first 2nd Gen Chapters.
luigi bros
But they also say that she died in one of the first 2nd Gen Chapters. They say Lachesis died in chapter 7 if Nanna's father is Fin. And they say over the course of the game that anyone who survived the battle of Barhara died of screen exept Levin.

luigi bros
Ahh, now you mentioned the on screen part. Even offscreen the characters hardly ever get sick.
Rei Rei
Even offscreen the characters hardly ever get sick. Then the fact should be this: None(hyperbole) of the characters get sick in this game.

luigi bros
Also, wasn't Alan(FE1/3/DS) sick during FE3 Book II? I don't think so I thought he was the Jeigan unit. I never got too far into it so I'm not sure.

Kriemhild
Now you mentioned it, he is. Hell, it was said in his ending that he died of illness after the Book 2 war. XD I think a village in FE3B2Ch1 says that Alan doesn't look too good. That probably meant that he was sick.

Rei Rei
I think that was said just to make Lana and Lester feel better. Why? Everybody had their parents dead but Patty and Faval(though their mother's "missing") and Sety and Phee(though I don't know if FolsetyLevin counts) . There's no point on treating them in such way. General Spoon
I'm pretty sure either Lana or Lester mentions that their mother in in the nunnery in whatever the castle you start at in chapter 6 is.
luigi bros
Who told them that, anyways? Celice, Shanan, or Oifaye could have. Lester could have known their mothers dead but didn't want to upset Lana. They have enough happening with fighting the empire they don't also have to deal with their mothers death. Also, everyone's parents were dead at that point, wouldn't make much difference. Still, if she was going to be upset, the sooner she knew about it, the better.
