Admiral "Bull" Halsey
Generation 1 because they have really cool people there. Too bad most of them died, all that hard work training them for nothing. And Sigurd owns.
General Spoon
I liked the first gen better. And the end of the first gen was tragic. It was sad. First off, Sigurd's dad dies after giving the Tyrfing to Sigurd. Then Sigurd learns his sister and his brother-in-law were ambushed in the desert and killed. Then he's betrayed by Alvis, learns that his wife has been brainwashed and is now Alvis's wife, and then he's killed.

All that hard work for nothing. But the first gen was kind of boring in terms of map composition, Chapter 2 being an excellent example of this phenomena. You forgot that his best friend dies previously, his wife disappearing leaving him to raise his son alone for about two years and having to give him up after killing the man who framed his daddy and him, losing his sister and other best friend, facing the other guy who was in cahoots in framing everything on him, being lead to a trap by his former friend/colleague, seeing his wife again having no recognition of him and being killed on the spot. This isn't counting all the stress the poor guy has to go through all chapters before that. And then in Second Gen, everyone is happyish. Ercdouken
The first gen for me. While it's fun to use the childrens in the second gen, I find the characters and plot more memorable. I also seemed to get more bored with the second gen.
Kriemhild
Depends. Are you including NPCs and enemies as well?
luigi bros
Depends. Are you including NPCs and enemies as well? The poll is really about which generation you enjoy more. Another reason why I prefer the second generation is you don't have to worry about pairings.
Mekkah
Chapter 2 has the slowest beggining ever. You spend like 5-6 turns just to move to one castle barely defeating someone. As opposed to what? Ch7 where you spend five hours walking from your home castle to a border you cannot cross until Celice walked through the entire desert on his own just to turn the sign on a castle blue? Ch9 where all you can do is wait until Altenna flied up to you, then kill her squadron, then talk to her, then wait for Trabant and Hannibal? Herr Wozzeck
Ch9 where all you can do is wait until Altenna flied up to you, then kill her squadron, then talk to her, then wait for Trabant and Hannibal? IMO, it only takes Altenna around two-three turns to go to you. And once you talk to Altenna with Leaf, it takes Trabant the same amount of time to go there and it only takes Hannibal around 3-4 turns to reach you. I think that gives you plenty of time to recover before you have to face Trabant. And plus, if any units hit twenty while you're suffering from the Thracian onslaught, you can just send them back to the home castle to promote, and then you can have them come back out to join the action. Only the middle of chapter 7 was boring, after you get to the border it gets better. And Ch9 is my favorite one ;_;

Florete
In my one time of playing this, I enjoyed the second gen better. It was easier, but I liked how different it could turn out and I liked the characters better.
