Paper Jam
Have I just been unlucky, or does Merric have awful growths as a mage? Twice now he has leveled up without any attribute growths at all. Edited February 19, 2009 by Paper Jam
Liz
as a mage, he has pretty good growths. :o Edited February 19, 2009 by Nyx
Dat Nick
Better growths as Curate, but he's fine as mage. You're just getting raped.
Mekkah
Shadow Dragon growths generally seem a bit on the low side. For the record, Mage Cleric has 60% hp, 40% mag, 50% skl, 40% speed, 45% luk, 5% def, 20% res. Averages somewhere between 2 and 3 stat-ups per level. Superbus
Most mages seem to have lower growths than you're used to, but since almost no one has resistance, it doesn't really matter, because they'll still be godlike.
Just call me AL
Its just, on the Curate route, he does sacrifice offence in magic for magic versatility. (I thought I was unlucky as well, but I checked averages.) Edited February 20, 2009 by Little Al
Dat Nick
Damn good thing enemies have piss poor res, otherwise Merric losing mag growth might actually be a problem, eh?

Robert
Better growths as Curate, but he's fine as mage. You're just getting raped. Unless I am adding something wrong, I do not see why curate is much better. Merric loses magic and gains res?
Dat Nick
and gains spd and def And magic does nothing for him since he still one rounds everything he doubles even if he spent every single level as Curate
Dr. Tarrasque
His damage is good enough despite the lower mag growth. As a curate he levels faster too and the +5% SPD and DEF growths are nice.
Dat Nick
Having a res tank who can one round mages back comes in handy, too.
NoNameAtAll
Having a res tank who can one round mages back comes in handy, too. And you gotta love his ability to FIRE HIS EXALIBUR off the bat. Necessary? No. :P
Robert
Curate or mage, his growths are continously failing me. three levels with only mag, and skill?
¬_¬
There's loads of statboosters if you're not satisfied with the RNG lategame and they're pretty cheap with the silver card available after chapter 14 and the VIP card after chapter 17. http://www.serenesforest.net/fe11/secret.html (Though I don't know if they're in hard mode and up, I've only played through normal mode so far.) Dr. Tarrasque
The stat boosters are in the hard modes and the same goes for secret shops.
