Whoops! Pursuit will hit particulatly hard in such a scenario. At least it has crap for defenses, meaning a good few super effective hits will take it out. And he definitely is one compared to Brock or Roxanne. Knows I don't see Roark as that hard, but he's not the breather boss that Brock (assuming you didn't choose Charmander for your starter) or Roxanne before him were.
