True, but then you get into stuff like Close Combat, which drops your defenses, and Hi Jump Kick, which makes you take serious damage if you miss (and Protect/Detect are also big "screw yous" to HJK, as are ghosts). And while I'm at it, before Gen 4, HJK was essentially a Sky Uppercut clone, but with a drawback. Hammer Arm... 100 power, 90 accuracy, but lowers speed? What the fuck? Submission... 80 power, 80 accuracy, and recoil? Are you kidding me? Also, Cross Chop is one of the best drawback-free Fighting moves, but it's rare.
