Confrontation is apparently a small computer game made with "Game Maker" to play much like Zero mission with a couple of Super Metroid options. Then there's Another Metroid 2 Remake which is... as the name says, a metroid remake. Probably made the same way confrontation was but it's got way more editing done from what I've seen. Inthe SRW in question, SRW, they actually fixed the storyline into something decent. The thing about Kira/Athrun is what was supposed to happen in the actual anime.
