Lux Aeterna
Hi Everyone! ^^I was playing an old savestate of FE6 eariler.... ;-; Hi. : D That's unfortunate, but... Why does it say STR instead of MAG?

Sara
Hi. : DThat's unfortunate, but... Why does it say STR instead of MAG? I have an older patch probably. I've had it a long while. EDIT: Quick question: Can you patch an already patched ROM? Edited July 6, 2009 by Sara
Lux Aeterna
Anyone know if it's possible to make maps, and not a hack? I have all these modules and stuff if I have to hack...
_____
EDIT: Quick question:Can you patch an already patched ROM? It depends. The contents of the patches can't overlap. Anyone know if it's possible to make maps, and not a hack? I have all these modules and stuff if I have to hack... ? Of course you can make a map and not hack, if that's what you're asking. Do you mean to insert it? Edited July 6, 2009 by Ninji

Sara
It depends. The contents of the patches can't overlap. Using a new ROM won't mess with your savestates I think... right? I'll try that. ^^
_____
Using a new ROM won't mess with your savestates I think... right?I'll try that. ^^ The ROM and the savestates need to be compatable, but otherwise...
Lux Aeterna
Yes. Register here (if necessary) and look for the map tutorial by Arch/Adminator. Already registered yesterday. ^^ Oh, and I just realized there's a tutorial directory. ?Of course you can make a map and not hack, if that's what you're asking. Do you mean to insert it? Just for my creative thread. Just to make my own map, and maybe add some units in it to make it look like a battle. Oh wait a minute... Does that mean I got the rest of the stuff for nothing? : O

Dr. Tarrasque
Speaking of that, what do I open Mappy with...? If the file you're talking about is RAR or ZIP, use WinRAR. The executable is called "mapwin.exe"
Lux Aeterna
If the file you're talking about is RAR or ZIP, use WinRAR. The executable is called "mapwin.exe" Uhhhh..... It's a 7z file...? I still didn't get your meaning there. XD
Sara
WinRAR also opens .7z.
Dr. Tarrasque
Uhhhh..... It's a 7z file...? I still didn't get your meaning there. XD I believe WinRAR can also open 7z... I know I did. .7z, .Zip, .RAR are usually a bunch of files compressed into one. You use WinRAR to open it up and then extract the files inside to wherever you want. Inside that .7z, there should a bunch of folders 1-2 .dll and 1 .exe file
