Since you can reset stuff anyway, I can just change my strategy in Nightmare if I start getting raped. Now, cheerleaders. Fury does increase a lot in damage and so should your weapon if you find something better. While most if not all monsters have physical resistance, few are actually immune to it and even then you can break immunities with a good bunch of Necro curses ( Decrepify, Amplify Damage, Weaken and Iron Maiden at least ). You could try Rabies for another element of damage. It's also decent for AoE on packed monsters. I hate these things. Shout, Decrepify, Auto Salvation... Rez's Shock Wave can be extremely annoying in hell. Stuns and then you get mauled, on top of his bonuses attributes and shit.
