Is it really that good? Oh, sup Meow. Parts 1 & 2 go by quickly. Part 3 is currently being released by Viz, so you can read that as they (re)release it. Furthermore, parts 3-6 all have 20-page chapters, which is short. Combined with the fact that most fights can pretty much have the middle chapters chopped out, they'll also go by quickly. Part 7 is currently running, with most chapters hitting over 40 pages, which is A LOT. However, there's also less fluff to skip, and by the time you get this far, the chapter size won't matter much- Scanlators are about 5-6 volumes behind the official releases, so you'll just have to wait anyways. That said, overall, the entire series is over 700 chapters long. Considering it's been running consistently since the 80's, that's pretty good.
