Doing good there, Double-Edge. I mean...Afro Break. Growth got upgraded (raises atk and spa) and received a clone. It's one of the first TMs you get, even. Because yeah, element sure matters for a selfbuff move. Also, whoever turned Sturdy into a focus sash deserves a slow, painful death. If by "badass dude" you mean the guy with a wild orange-haired map sprite, that was the champion from the beginning. Actually, the 4th gym leader tells you he's the champ, right off the bat. A decent number of mons learn it, including Fire piggy's evolutions and, funnily enough, the hydra. Hmm, I should probably carry a poison type on me. I know most of them are Rock or even Steel types, but if you can get them poisoned at 1 HP, you don't waste another turn. That and trap moves tend to be horribly weak. Also Hi Jump Kick : Gen 1-3 : 85 base power Gen 4 : 100 base power now : 130 base power Jump Kick also got buffed from 85 to 100 just now.
