Lux Aeterna
Actually, in retrospect, the fact that you just attack everything with brute force is pretty evident from any games I've ever played with you. Yeah, I don't remember who won, though. I did stealth rock. Brute force only really works if you have a good level lead. Like 5-10+. But here are two things you'll like to know, Lux: 1. Super-effective moves can cause a lot of damage. 2. Stat-boosting moves usually give a +50% bonus on the base stat per stage. So, a Swords Dance (+2 atk) gives +100% attack. My pokemon were 28-30 at the time. Starter solos are so boring, and make it hard to catch pokemon. 1. I know that. 2. I know that, too. And the maximum amount that can be reached is 400%, while the minimum that can be reached is 25%. After calm minding 6 times with Alakazam--that's what enabled me to beat Red with level 50s. Among other pieces of strategy. EDIT: Let me just say I only really think about strategy if I have trouble, otherwise I just take them down. _____
Ah. But they are somewhat troublesome if you go there expecting to clear the gym with ground moves. After digging once doesn't kill it, you should be golden. Jawbeard. The Spartan Mayor. In overalls. With a beard that forms a spiked doctor's mask. Whoever the fuck designed Drayden has to be the coolest person known to man. Lilligant -> Quiver Dance -> lol Excuse me, sir, you seem to have spelled "Throh -> Mountain Storm" wrong. 2. TheEnd
After digging once doesn't kill it, you should be golden. What. Excuse me, sir, you seem to have spelled "Throh -> Mountain Storm" wrong. Sawk was here, Throh is a loser. And I should spend some more time playing this unusually mainstream dating sim. Though I'm mostly a voyeur at this point, apparently... Edited April 1, 2011 by TheEnd
Lux Aeterna
You mean healing item spam. Revives played a huge part, yeah. That still counts as strategy in my book, which should tell you a lot. If anything, I didn't want to have to travel through Mt. Silver again.
_____
What. Dig -> Doesn't affect Emolga -> Realize it's flying -> Kill it with something else It's pathetically weak, anyway. Sawk was here, Throh is a loser. Does Sawk learn a wall-breaking move or damaging-whirlwind variants? I didn't think so.

Dr. Tarrasque
Wow, one of the few occasions in which Winry shows affection for Ed. There's a scene in brotherhood where Ed sees Winry topless. I'm sure you'll love it.
