Because of my current mouse I don't think I can try Hardcore for very long because I might suffer a similar fate. I remember when both mouses I had stopped working at the same time. Not very amusing. The most expensive keyboard we've bought didn't last long either. Because of this kind of thing, I vowed to never spend too much money on keyboards or mouses. Turns out it was either buying a new set or buying an USB adaptor. I didn't expect my set to fuck up like this. Sometimes they work fine, but then there's periods where they keep malfunctionning every half hour. And you just remind me I should buy a mouse myself for backup... Morning.
