Fruity Insanity
so your purchases are secret is this a korean thing More like an Asian culture, inter-generational thing. Our parents are more conservative, and expect us to, well, do more productive things with our time (especially since many of them worked their butts off for their families). They often view video games as a useless form of entertainment. A waste of time. Perhaps in moderation, but any more than that, and they'll get agitated. So yes. I try to keep quiet. I'm Korean? Lol. Maybe it's just the inter-generational thing. so moving the 3ds' clock one hour back yesterday disabled today's events altogether gamefreeeeak It's always been like that, though. Fruity Insanity
but videogames are a mostly useless form of entertainment that's what entertainment tends to be, in fact And Americans are more liberal about that than many other cultures. Fruity Insanity
is that soooooooooooo From what I see, yes. Americans spend far more time and money on entertainment in general than most - if not all - nations.

MRDRHAWK
but videogames are a mostly useless form of entertainment that's what entertainment tends to be, in fact One could argue that a lot of "useful" things are generally pretty useless in actuality. And that entertainment is in fact useful since it prevents us from becoming mindless drones only made to serve others (whether it be employers or dependants). That's just my two cents on the matter, though.
TheEnd
it's arguably better to be a mindless drone only made to serve others than being a mindless drone only made to satisfy yourself, though
MRDRHAWK
True, hence why it's best to find the balance You still want to work hard, but at the same time, don't become a workaholic. Give yourself some "me" time - it doesn't have to be a huge amount, but enough - so that you can satisfy your own wants as well as needs.
