Not really.

Instead of catching a placeholder Growlithe (FIRE STONES WHERE), I could have gotten a Dratini already.

But at least...

1) Gambling without savestates is annoying as fuck;

2) I've always wanted to use a non-starter fire pokémon like Growlithe, Vulpix or Ponyta.

... but that doesn't change the fact that I'm really itching to restart, now. Again.

Maybe it's like the original and you need to see Bill for them...after Cerulean city.

I just bought the chips, never really used them for gambling. 2100 chips ( IIRC that's what a Dratini costed back then ) is only 105K dollars.

I usually picked a Magmar for that.

Fire Stones are obtainble through Pokethlon on Tuesdays and require 2500 points...whatever that means.

If you want it the old school way, you'll have to have a Lickitung, an Oddish and a Staryu since they're asses and put the Fire Stone in 4th.

Supposedly, a trainer near Goldenrod City can find one and give it to me... God knows when.

I have 120k right now, 105k is far from "only" to me. ._.

I'm not too fond of Magmar, although he does have great egg-hatching a HM slaving utility.

And the gym is done.

... maybe I'm lucky and they're sold in Celadon.

Bidoof looks stupid.

The world knows.

Drayano's FAQ says to take his phone number, so yeah I can hear you there...

I remember selling the useless +10% power boost items back then, which is about 5k each. If you have a Pokemon or two with Pickup, I'm sure they could also be of use with those Nuggets.

I liked his varied movepool back in the day, so I usually kept one with me until I found something better.

Indeed. Enjoy your Dratini now.

Oh right, I forgot to sell junk. That's what happens when you have an unlimited inventory.

Must crunch and dig my way through the Dragon's Den first.

Highly doubtful.

Well, I heard rumors. I can still hope.

Also, I'm presuming that if the stone giveaway is still there, the stone you get is probably set depending on the day of the week. They do that a lot in this remake.

Back~

Everyone go read The Founding Fathers Reconsidered by R.B Bernstein.

The guy has a soft voice so I fell a sleep a in and out a few times but I stayed a bit after for the questions. Pretty good ones at that.

YAY 10 POINT EXTRA CREDIT ON THE NEXT EXAM

In C5 of FE5, what am I supposed to do about Galzus? Do I just try and kill him?

You have a team probably below 10/--.

You find a 20/20.

What the hell do you think you should do?

Evolution stones are quite rare in

this; there are four ways to get them. The first is through Pokegear calls

like this; there are four trainers in the game who will sometimes make a gift

of a Leaf Stone, Fire Stone, Water Stone or Thunderstone. The second way is

through the Pokethlon, which we'll come across soon. The third way is through

the Bug Catching Contest, but you can only get Sun Stones from it prior to

obtaining the National Dex. Lastly, you can show certain Pokemon to Bill's

grandfather in Kanto to receive stones in return, but it's horribly late in

the game, so you're probably better off getting ahold of stones some other

way if you want to use a Pokemon that evolves by stone. PokeGear calls are the

most convenient since the stones come free without any need to do stuff, but

it does take some luck to get the right trainer to call you with the right

stone. The Pokethlon takes more effort, but is the more reliable way to get

the stones in HGSS.

It's quite possible for the giveaway thing.

Capture him for a free Master Sword in the next chapter.

Exactly.

In before "I captured and released him!"

He's in the same room as Eyvel and Nanna. If I open the door, Eyvel gets stoned, and Nanna dies. If I fight Galzus, he'll kill Eyvel, and then Nanna will die.
