He kicks Eggman's ass, arranges a huge conspiracy theory-worthy plot to kill Sonic, and then turns into a giant metal dragon. That's awesome. Only time he was awesome was in the Sonic OVA. Otherwise, Metal sucks ass. I guess dying because you don't want Sonic to help you is cool, but the OVA was pretty damn bad itself.
