Use the English name. He's Blue. Unless you're willing to call Charizard Lizardon, Dragonair Hakuryuu, Farfetch'd Kamonegi... Hakuryuu and Kamonegi are fine. Hell, I prefer Kamonegi over Farfetch'd... Lizardon... Let's just keep the English name there. Use all English names = you're normal. Use all Japanese names = you're an elitist. Use a mixed bag = you're an idiot. Choose. English names, then. And since Gary became Green again in FR/LG... Also, Leaf and Blue actually ARN'T the same person, as it turns out. What is this FR/LG you're talking about? FireRed/LeafGreen. Although I am kinda assuming the games went back to the Main/Rival naming again... I'm not familiar with those names. Are they some shitty hacks? They're the GBA Remakes of Red and Blue. And since the American Blue version was originally the Japanese Green version... Sorta. American Red and Blue used the Japanese Blue's Unknown Dungeon layout. Plus, Japanese Blue's graphics. Meanwhile, FR/LG used Japan's Red and Green version for Cerulean Cave.
