Sure, it's not totally accessible, but it's not impossible to get either. That be good for a movie scene or RPG game where a hello is exploring an ancient ruins or a tribal dance. I'm not really a precussion kind of guy but this actually made me want to study it so I can use it as a melody of sorts. Unpitched percussion is kind of hard to turn into semi-pitched material, but I'm glad you liked it. :D Harr, since you are an musician yourself, what would be a good key and chords for me to use in composing medieval war music? Hm... My advice is that you try not to go for very complex chords (avoid seventh chords at all costs!). Also, I would do my best to try to keep it within acceptable intervals within the medieval music scene (Thirds, Fourths, Fifths, Sixths, etc.). And key signature is kind of hard to ask if you're going for hard-core medieval, as tonality hadn't quite evolved into what it was until the mid/late Rennaisance My suggestion is you get yourself acquainted with the Medieval motet, where tonality hadn't really evolved yet. Pardon that. That's me going all esoteric on myself. XD But anyways, I'd probably say Dorian mode D minor, and stick with very simple chords and chord progressions.
