It took Beowulf ( yeah, him too ) 4 hits for him to get asleep. The forumla is 30 - res = Sleep% You'll notice the caster casting Blizzard again and tink the opponent. In FE 5, when X weapon gives you a status condition, it always applies ( well, when the enemies give it to you, at least ). Yotsmung/Poison weapons/Poison tome always poisons, Berserk sword always makes you berserk and Sleep Sword/Blizzard always makes you asleep. A fun note now that I try it is that your own character will stop attacking when the Sleep Sword connects with an enemy. In FE 4, the only actual weapons that give status conditions are the Sleep, Berserk and Silence Sword. Blizzard doesn't put you to sleep and Yotsmung doesn't poison you ( and from what I believe, it still doesn't in FE 4 Binary because Poison doesn't exist ). According to this very site, the status infliction is 30 - enemy magical defense rate in %, although supposedly there's a bug if the magic defense is higher than 30: it will always inflict X status. I doubt the formula changed for FE 4 Binary since it took 4 hits of Blizzard to put Beowulf to sleep and 2 to put Claude to sleep ( bad luck, really, considering his magic defense ). A few more things: It seems Mistoltin doesn't give Berserk anymore. It drains life, though. If your Dew sucks, you get another "thief" in first generation.
