In one of my dropped playthroughs, I lucky-caught Entei and tried doing the same with Raikou. Considering how I didn't bother with them ever since, you can guess how that went. Considering how I didn't bother with them ever since, you can guess how that went. For me the process is tedious. I chip damaged both of them down to one hp (this took about 8 battles). Then paralysis. Now I throw an ultra ball in hopes of catching. It worked for Entei; it shall work for Raikou. I got enough to get a dratini and abra, then I skedaddled. No matter how much logic I used, no matter how much I worked out, it always came down to chance. And chance took the low road.
