Junkhead Posted May 28, 2010 Share Posted May 28, 2010 To be fair, the games were created way before shit like this happened. I didn't play the Soul Reaver ones, but the first game is very good. Kinda feels like a Zelda game, if only more linear. Blood Omen 2 was...a bit weird, but Defiance pretty much sealed everything. The game definitely has one of the most complex plots I ever saw in a series. Yes, Blood Omen gives has that appeal, but add to that the fact it has excellent voice acting and sound for being a 2D (Or 2.5?) game. Blood Omen 2, was without doubt the worse in the series, I didn't even play it yet, but I heard it was because this one was handled by another team. It felt a bit cheesy and stereotypical. You actually need to play the all the games to know what it going on. I wouldn't call that isometric 3D, which is like Diablo. To me it's 2D from top view, like Zelda. Blood Omen 2 was alright, but the game was extremely linear and the new characters were pretty meh. The first four bosses are apparently soliders or generals that were under your command during the war against the Sarafan Lord, AKA Hashakgik or the Hylden Lord, but they were never mentionned anywhere else. Vorador also appears despite being killed in the first game. An explanation was to be given in Defiance but it was scrapped due to lack of time. Janos Audron is in a similar situation. Well, if the Navi chip's attack is multi hit (as in, it can hit an enemy multiple times), it might be worth throwing in if you've got some +10 ATK chips and the like. Heck there's some chips that are worth putting in your folder even if they're not part of your regular codes, like Guardian (places a statue that deals 200 damage to whoever attacks it).
