shadowofchaos
It's a dragon. They make a distinction in the FE7 between "Wyverns" and "Dragons" ._. The "Dragons" they fear that Ninian's related to are the more powerful versions... in FE7, they're translated "Wyvern Riders" and "Wyvern Lords"... while in FE6 the translators just thought "Dragon" would be appropriate... but... As for this case... it's "Wyvern" ._.

Acacia Sgt
Although, it has been named dragon in all Japanese versions ever since the first. Actually, a true Wyvern would be Sacred Stones's Wyvern Knight's. These, however, are not.
Kriemhild
In FE3B2, wyverns looked identical to Flying Dragons so they're still dragons.
Loki Laufeyson
Actually, a true Wyvern would be Sacred Stones's Wyvern Knight's. These, however, are not. THAT. Wyverns (in old Welsh legend atleast) were actually smallish dragon-like creatures with only two legs and no forelegs. <_< More like Marty isSues
Phoenix
This brings up an interesting issue I had to address myself. I wasn't sure how wyverns and dragons should be related, so I decided to treat it the same as races or breeds. Basically, it's the difference between a terrier, and a great dane. Different breeds. Mind you, this is just for my own fanfiction, and shouldn't be looked upon for real classification. My solution looked like this: Vanguard: Gigantic eighty foot tall dragons that blast things with fire, ice, etc. (They can get larger if they maintain a heavy diet throughout childhood) Lesser Dragons: Larger than wyverns, but no where near as large as Vanguards. They boast minor elemental powers. (Ultra)Wyrms: They start off the size of wyverns but grow to the size of Vanguards. Wyverns: Very small dragons with no elemental powers. Mountain Wyverns: (FE8 Wyvern Knight appearance, lacking forearms) Slender wyverns boasting longer necks and tails. That's just the method I used so I wouldn't have to worry about it later on. It works for me :D

Phoenix
What do you have against Nils? Imagine if Ninian came by herself. She'd be center stage throughout the game. All of Nils' parts would go to her, and they might not have killed her off toward the end, and instead, done something just as dramatic, yet, less saddening. But I personally have nothing against Nils, I just wish Ninian didn't have a husband, who's too stupid not to run her through with a great sword <_<
BK-201
What do you mean killed off in the end? Have you played the game? She is revived by the Bramimond and then she stops 2 of the dragons. She is mentally exhausted an collapses. If she and Eliwood have an A support then she stays with him, if not she and Nils goes through the gate because they will slowly die from the human air or something. If she goes through the gate, she has a long life, if not, she dies.
