Psych
I got the rom version. Patched translation. Open it. Black screen. Any ideas?
luigi bros
Get a differant ROM. I had this problem. You either are using the wrong patch, or the ROM has a problem.
VincentASM
Check if your ROM has a header or not.
Psych
Um, I hate to ask this, but how?
VincentASM
Oh yeah, I'll just mention that I didn't notice the topic description until now. You can check using a hex editor- just look for 10+ rows of 00's at the very start of the ROM, that's your header.
Psych
Hey, I can find the problem, just not know how to solve it. And I switch the last 00 to 01 right?
VincentASM
I haven't heard of any method that requires switching any bytes : o If you have a ROM header and need to remove it, WindHex or SNESTools can do it for you. Similarly, if you need a header added, SNESTool can add one for you.
Psych
Oh okay, I just remove it. Most of the time headers don't mess anything up with my roms, so I don't know how to deal with them. Thanks for the help though.
