Admiral "Bull" Halsey
Did anyone bother unlocked him by beating the ruins 3 times? I have.
VincentASM
Yeah, it's kind of tedious, but it's much easier than playing through the same game 10+ times.
Admiral "Bull" Halsey
Yeah its tend to be boring by playing the same stage over and over again just to unlock one character. I only unlock him just to get his free unlimited S-Rank tome Naglfar.
Raven
I've got him. He's also as perfect as anyone will ever get him.

Inactive Account
Never bothered, but I might if I get my SS cartridge back from my cousin.
Florete
I did. I found it rather easy with my strategy that I don't even remember.
VincentASM
I think mine was a Lute solo with her using monster dark magic (with infinite uses). Aside from Floor 10 of course. It's technically cheating, but hey it's a fun glitch to exploit XD
Admiral "Bull" Halsey
My strategy involves sending all 3 Bishops and beat the Ruins 3 times to unlock him.
Fireman
I almost unlocked him, but I remember some other game started to distract me. And Lyon was the only character that I was really interested in unlcoking too...
Shadrach
No, I got too bored with going through the same stages. After 2 ruin runs I said screw it, and haven't done another attempt since.
Raven
His Con is what I don't like about him. It is low, but you can buy infinite stat boosters, meaning you can also get body rings. My Lyon has maxed everything including constitution, except movement.
Admiral "Bull" Halsey
I just normally never buy unlimited stat boosters. Yes they help a lot in the Creature Campaign but it's kinda like cheating. Not to mention is could seriously hurt your fund in doing so. Neko Arc Chaos
One trip through the ruins is enough for me. <_<

A trip through the ruins grants you plenty of cash.
Admiral "Bull" Halsey
You also probably need to buy promotion items. Yes the ruins grant you many golds but its not enough feed all your characters with those stat boosters and its still a lot of money. You still of course need weapons if you were ever to beat the ruins/towers to unlock the characters or get more gold. Its like you gotta spend money to make more money. Raven
Having Lyon solo all the Ruins is very cost-effective, because of his infinite Naglfar tome.

This topic is for Lyon, and three times through grants you more than enough money for all the promotion items you need, weapons, and a few stat boosters. If you do the tower three times as well, there is even more. Don't forget weapons and other items are dropped in both.

sunshineYON
Why is that? I read somewhere, most likely this site, that the Japanese version's Lyon had noob growth like the rest of the unlockables. Extremely tedious process in unlocking a sucky character = ultimate fail
TLSothe
Poor Japanese.
