Best: Steel Sword. Good power, not too heavy, and reliable. Honorable mention to Shadow Dragon's Ridersbane.

Worst: RD Longbows. Not only do they have crappy accuracy, but their already bad accuracy takes a nosedive when you attempt to use them at 3 range. Dishonorable mention goes to FE9 Light for being financial suicide to forge (forging cost of over 20k to max Mt ftl) as well as being heavy and on a character with virtually nonexistent Strength, as well as the Slim Sword for... Forget it, what can I say about it that hasn't been said already? Dishonorable mention also goes to the FE6 Steel Axe for having godawful accuracy (50 base hit? Bleck!), and FE8 Luna for being completely useless.

Well, either way:

Best: Steel Sword (in any game)

Strong, reliable, not to heavy and rather cheap.

Worst: FE9 Slim Sword

Find me a sword user in this game, that gets an agility boost by using those, instead of the more stronger and cheaper Iron Swords.

Also, do FE4 weapons count? Seeing as you can't have an infinite number of them and each of them is unique.

I'm guessing part of it was because it had some people thinking hard on which highest ranked weapons aren't legendary and another part of it was because some people were voting for legendary weapons when NM didn't ask for them. (I don't blame them though. The majority of the highest ranked weapons were legendary after all.)

But anyways...

Best: Javelins. 1-2 range on my lance users? Yes please! Honorable mention to hand axes for the same reason, but replace lance users with axe users.

Worst: RD longbows. 55-65 accuracy, as well as practically cutting that accuracy in half at full range? I'd rather take my chances with Marksmen using regular bows, thank you.

Worst: Killer Weapons, because they never critical when you need them to or they critical on the second hit, causing you to waste weapon durability.

These nominations apply to any Fire Emblem where you can buy them, which should be quite a few of the games.

Worst: Slim Sword. I can occasionally find a use for FE10's Longbows, like shooting down at enemies, but Slim Swords? When are they ever useful? I don't think there's a single Sword user who gets weighed down by Iron (which is why Slim Lances can be useful. Some Lance users get weighed down by Iron), it costs more, has fewer uses, is weaker, and for what? 5 crit and some Hit? On the most accurate weapon type and often wielded by units with high Skill? I don't even think there's a situation where you have Slim Swords available before Iron Swords are. Hell, in all my millions of playthroughs of FE7, I don't think I ever owned one, much less used one.

Unless you're using overpowered units to get the enemy to a very low HP so that weaker units can get kills, whereeas the overpowered unit would otherwise ORKO, then that's pretty useful.

Japanese version of FE9. I'm told there is some kind of bug that allows you to achieve 255 crit with those things (forging).

Still, only being useful in fe4 and through a bug in fe9 is kinda sad.

Best: FE10's Iron Poleaxe. Absolutely perfect in all facets; enough HIT, 40 uses, low price, fucking hefty MT...

Worst: Slim Sword. Not feeling original.

Best: FE10 Hand Axe. Accurate, powerful, forgeable, 1-2 range.

Worst: FE9 Light. Other people have mentioned why.

Incidentally, I don't think you can vote for Silver Longbow, since it's only buyable in Bargains and enemies never carry it. Like the Silencer, in that respect, and Rolf's Bow.

Honourable mention to Slim Sword, Bronze weapons, and the infinitely useless FE8 Luna.
