help please for transfers.

is there anything i can do in the last 2 levels of PoR other than fight ashnard for hours for 1 exp per battle? (unless he gives more) i have only about 9 transfers on medium mode and good ones like Marcia Str/Skl/spd/def and haar str skl spd and jill str skl spd and boyd hp skl str spd, nephenee skl and spd basically making a lot of meh people in RD better... but many are 15-17 it seems i overestimated the exp pool... on MEDIUM difficulty :( in all the defend for X turns chapter i ended up routing the enemy even still but im up short of EXP, must i start over? i can post specifics on my characters if i must but i did originally then my computer acted up and i dont want to type it all again i even played fast and did my best to maximise bexp and i prefer to not start anew. Please tell me anything that will help level my characters, in the last 2 missions of PoR for my tranfers (any kind of abuse) i already knw im gonna staff elincia to 20 and soren is already maxed but the other i dont know what to do please tell me. i wish my RD took easy mode DAMMIT!!!

The last two maps are pretty rich in experience. If you only have about 6-8 units left, as long as you feed them the kills and try to get extra by choosing not to kill enemies in one round where possible, it ought to work out. Also be sure to get and use any possible remaining BEXP.

what I like to do is, if I'm looking for really good transfers...

start a new game and don't use ANY bexp until the last chapter

for staff users and mages that become staff users I rely on staffs for exp ( especially ward) with ward you can easily get, rhys, mist, Elincia, Soren, Ilyana and Tormod to level 20/20.

then there's the low leveled people that come late, such as Rolf, as long as they can do some damage you can boss abuse for a while and they're level up relatively quickly.

I don't usually bother with laguz since they're a pain to max a stat in and they typically aren't that useful in RD but if you want a few bonuses with them you can just give them stat bonuses for a stat.

Reyson you can just spam Canto

you can also rely on dodgeing, this takes forever but I've actually had a level 20/14 Mia for chapter 8 because of this ( It took a lot of patience, and a lot of suspending and resuming for about two weeks)

I have a near perfect transfer file where almost everyone has decent level 20/20 stats ( except for people like Devdan who I didn't even bother recruiting XD )

but anyway I'll stop rambleing now since I'm kinda getitng off topic, there are many methods of exp abuse, and if you have a level 20/20 Haar in PoR then you'll be really well off in RD since Haar is one of the best people in RD.

Fighting Ashnard gives no EXP.

-Have units that have staves not fight any enemies at all. Just staff spam

-Use all the BEXP you have remaining and optimize every last drop of it.

-Once a character gets to 20, stop them from fighting any more enemies.

-Fight all reinforcements while staying in the BEXP limits.

And if you are thinking about starting a new game:

-Pacifist runs of C10, C15, C19 and C22 are better than killing everything, since for transfers, BEXP is more valuable than CEXP.

-Don't kill the vigilantes in C11.

-Try to keep everyone that you are not transfering outside of battle.

oh thank you so much, i barely got a few to 20/20 and dodge abused ike to his final level barely with a final soldier.

oh well at least i got the key ones i needed, like jill to help part one with str skl spd def

and for part two elincia str spd mag and marcia str spd def res and the godly haar with a spd skl str and neph with str skl spd

and part three got ike in like everything but mag and res and my boyd and soren (who were much weakened in RD :( ) skill and speed and offence (and in this playthrough my soren was insane and faster than mia and everyone else the whole time, like at 24 speed only at level 3 Sage :P WITHOUT resets :D boyd also got HP and soren got res

and Mia is gonna start with a boost to str and def and i think the boost to skl and spd will make her start MAXED OUT!!! :) so now her str can go up EZ with bexp and then giffca str for the end duh :P

well thanks guys im happy with the few transfers i got and the couple tips (dodge abuse thank you for wasting 5 years of my life :P) helped max out a few

i didnt know u could do pacifist runs on those levels, i just thought it was for the one level with muarim (MY GUYS WOULDNT STOP GETTING CRITICALS ARGHHHHHHHHHHH) i hate how slim weapons give a +5 to crit (wanted to damage pepl so they move out of the way)

well i got my favorite characters in PoR that needed a bit of a help in the next game a bit of a boost :) too bad i had to give up on titania and oscar, and tanith since taniths STR actually goes up in RD

Honestly, the easiest thing, if somewhat tedious, to do is just Boss Abuse Ena. She has lots of HP, an inf weapon, sits on healing square and has a skill that restores HP. The perfect boss to squeeze experience out of. I usually finish up any characters that need transfers on her. Though depending how many you want to transfer, you could be doing this for 80+ turns.

Just some helpful advice for next time so you don't run into this problem again.

WHAT THE HELL??? i could have sworn i did it on medium but as i am transfering the file right now it's saying Epilogue: Hard mode... i feel... so good for clearing hard for the first time without knowing... and so RETARDED for picking hard without even knowing... well at least i think i know the real problem now... i epically fail O_O

You mentioned you can't transfer easy files, right? You didn't play Hard, you played Normal. Part of the programming error makes Normal show up in the transfer screen as Hard.

Yeah, Princeofstar, mine does the same thing. Its just a bug. All the info is there in the PoR save though. Dont worry.

What i do is simply pick out a team i want to transfer. Say like, the following:

Ike

Soren

Jill

Marcia

Oscar

Boyd

Zihark

Astrid

Keiran

Ill just use that lot throughout the game and get their levels as high as possible and weapon experience as high as i can manage. I will pool Bonus Experience and let it sit for most of the game. Then when the last levels come into view, i use that BEXP on those units. Should do the trick.
