Duchess of Freege
I've been trying out the Seisen Remodeling Patch and have run into some...interesting issues during gameplay. Things started to get strange in the Prologue, when I noticed that Finn's evasion seemed to be off. I checked his stats and was horrified: his evasion was not only off, but it was -249! As it turned out, the iron lance was to blame with a weight of 225 (How he could even carry a weapon that heavy, much less fight with it, is beyond me). Curious, I checked Sigurd's iron lance, only to find that it was also abnormally heavy. Needless to say, Finn didn't get much use during the Prologue. With Sigurd it didn't make much of a difference, since I never used his iron lance anyway except in the arena. Having got past the prologue, and with Finn having a brand new Hero Lance in his inventory, I thought my troubles were over. Unfortunately, they weren't. The next victim of this peculiar weapon bug was Sandima, and once again it proved beneficial to the enemy but detrimental to my forces. Instead of having a weight incease, Fenrir was given a RANGE increase, allowing Sandima to attack me from 120 tiles away! I barely managed to make it through the forest and take out Sandima before he could do any more damage, and, once again, I thought my troubles would end with the chapter. Chapter 2, however, will not play. Every time I load the chapter, the intro scene plays as normal, but when the time comes for Sigurd's troops to sortie the game freezes. I had originally applied the patch to a clean ROM and did not make any modifications, so I have no idea where these bugs are coming from. Has anyone else tried this patch and encountered similar problems?
TheEnd
What patch are you talking about, exactly? Regardless, are you sure you're using a clean ROM with a proper header? Edited January 18, 2011 by TheEnd
Duchess of Freege
What patch are you talking about, exactly? Regardless, are you sure you're using a clean ROM with a proper header? It's a patch from the Binaries section that replaces a large majority of Seisen's portraits with new and improved ones. The ROM was perfectly fine before I applied the patch, and I've used copies of the same ROM to apply other patches without incident. Why this one won't work is a mystery to me, unless there's a bug in the patch itself.

If you're talking about this (FE4 RM2.97用 改造パッチ), then it isn't a standalone patch; it's supposed to be applied over this hack. In other words, it isn't a Seisen remodeling patch, but rather a RM2.97 remodeling patch.
