Mav
Alright, for some reason the last post got all fucked up and I tried fixing it, but it looks the same. Anyway, newer stuff. They're in order of oldest-newest. Edited February 19, 2011 by Dstryr/Dstryr
Mav
Well apparently you people aren't familiar with the word "Feedback." Here's something I'm working on, It's not near being finished yet, but I want to know what people think.
Astelaine
Hmm, you shouldn't use the outline color where his mask meets his cheeks and chin - it's much too dark. It needs to be antialiased, too, but I assume that's just a part you haven't gotten to yet. Other than that, it's looking alright, though your shading tends to look jagged. When you antialias, most of the the time the AA only really needs to go in the "corner" between two pixels. Sometimes you extend your shading to follow the whole line you're trying to soften, even parts that aren't "corners." Since that explanation sounds kind of obtuse, here's an example. Your shading is on the left, corrections are on the right. Zoom in on the image in Paint. You'll see that the shading in some parts was unnecessary, and that's what is causing your mug to look rough. I hope this helps! With some smoothing, he'll look quite nice.
