Chapter 11 Mechanics

Hi there,

I'm a little confused with this chapter mecanics, namely the BK sortie.

When is it comes ? What are the rules ?

Every playthrough, the guy comes in, and instantly kills off a character (which seems to be 8 (7?) tiles away.

Last time Zihark took the hit, and it was mordecai for that one.

I thought he was only moving 2 tiles a round and he was coming only when you go higher (latitude) of his house.

Then I though he comes in when you kill the boss.

AFAIK your first theory is correct, about him appearing only when you go past his house. However, it's possible that if you wait too long, he'll appear on his own. Also, I'm pretty sure he just stands there if NO ONE is in his attack range. If you saw him move without attacking anyone, then I'm guessing it's because you took too long.

My advice would be to be careful of when your units would cross that line that triggers his appearance and make sure that when you're ready, there is absolutely NO ONE in BK's attack range. He'll leave you guys alone as long as you stay away from him. You can then proceed to complete the chapter normally without any sacrifices.

I'm not sure i take too much time, because from i remember, i really speed up things, he comes out in turn 5 (7?)

what i am sure, is that BK is moving 2 tiles a round if none is in his range.

then i begin to be pretty sure that if one unit is 8 tiles away when he comes, he will move 6 tiles and crush the unit.

but i'm not sure the house latitude thing is correct.

this is the beginning map (more ennemies on hard mode but thats not the point.

i've just killed the boss without moving up

just after this end turn, BK comes in and moves.

surprised me a little bit.

So it seems he appears one turn after you approach the boss, regardless of how many total turns. I haven't verified.

sorry, apparently you cant post using a wii or i just dont know how to. it was supposed to say:

the BK comes once you make the boss of the chapter move. he comes at the end of the enemy phase AND he gets to move. so if you move inside the boss' attack zone, you need to be aware of this and make sure your units arent near the BK's house.

as for BK's movement, it depends on the difficulty. on normal and easy the BK will not move unless one of your units are in his attack range. on hard, instead of just standing still when he cant reach someone, BK will move 2 spaces towards whichever unit closest to him.

zzzzz he only appears when you attack Makoya. He only moves three spaces per turn unless he can reach a unit. He's honestly not difficult to avoid by any stretch of the imagination.

You guys are pretty close.

BK appears at the beginning of the first enemy phase that starts after your first battle with Mackoya. And yes, he moves 3 spaces per turn on hard mode, but he does not move on lower difficulties (unless he can attack someone).
