Hippoman
Bonjour! I've recently come into contact with some money, and want to know what some great games on Steam are. Any suggestions? (Please no M ratings, I have a family around most of the time that includes small children)
Momo
Oh have I got a list for you! I-Oh, you don't want M ratings... Um... VVVVVV was pretty fun?
Icon of Sin
Kinda sucks for you that you just missed the Steam sale. I guess there's the new Super Street Fighter 4 : Arcade Edition if you're into that.

Integrity
Recettear. Every. Damn. Time.
Celice
It's helpful to know what sort of games you want to play, and what sort of style of player you are. I'd suggest Stalker - Shadow of Chernobyl, or Call of Pripyat. Or the recent Dungeon of Dredmor if you're into quick, fun, quirky games. There's so many good, affordable titles on the service that you might as well help us out a little, otherwise you'll have a whole sled of suggestions. Integrity
While Call of Pripyat is mega excellent (and so's the original), they're both M-rated games. Sorry, Cel. Checking my Steam list now that I have time, I'd put a recommendation in each for Terraria and Mount and Blade: Warband. Of course, it would also help to know your tastes :P
Momo
Wait until Recettear is on sale again. It's a nice game and all but it is not worth 20 dollars.
Rewjeo
You could get Rome Total War Complete. I got it about a week ago for like seven dollars, but even now it's still only ten. Same with Medieval II Total War Gold, if you like the Total War games.
Hippoman
Thanks everybody! I checked out Recettear, but I'm not a fan of the art style or general concept. I do think that I'd like to get: Monday Night Combat Empire or Rome: Total War Dungeons of Dredmor Shining Force 1/2 (due to FE similarities.) Thanks everyone! Magical CC
Mount and blade: warband. The children will like it when you play it in front of them. Shiny armor knight goes to battle against an army of angry mongol riders.
