Yeah. If I need to draft him to grab the Boots I definitely want him, otherwise I'm debating between L'Arachel (best staffbot left) vs. Amelia (Cavaliers are ridiculous).

Which gives Jan Marisa and Ewan for myself. WOOP

Wait what

Ok cool.

Team Analysis:

Eirika - Don't get strength screwed.

Ephraim - Might not do too much, might be very important. Time will tell.

Garcia - Earlygame powerhouse, becomes bad for a little while, then gets GARM. Also unbelievable in monster chapters, he might have some of the best offence in the game in those.

Saleh - Kind of like Pent, but not quite as awesome. A ORKO'ing machine. Will help in the desert IMMENSELY.

Forde - Didn't expect him to make it back, but having a Pally will help, even if his stats are subpar.

Tethys - Didn't expect to get her either, but she won't due as much because I don't have a flier. Or maybe she'll do more.

Innes - He has decent offence, and Nidhogg. But is a sniper.

Dolza - GWAHAHA BRAVE AXE

Marisa - uh, maybe she'll silence a couple things once she promotes. If she's recruited, but without a flier, I imagine she will be.

I have a couple of minutes here, might as well get a couple earlygame chapters done.

Prolouge - 2/2 Turns

Chapter 2 - 5/12 Turns

Eirika soloed all the bandits to the south (at the expense of a lot of Rapier uses) while Garcia took the east. Vanessa rescued Ross so he wouldn't die.

Chapter 3 - 7/19 Turns

Eirika ran for the boss, while Garcia helped her break walls and cleaned up her kills. Colm got me an Iron sword and Iron lance (as an NPC). Eirika attacked Bazba on turn 6, and critkilled him (not nescessary).

Thoughts:

Gerik - Not sure if he was worthy of a first pick, but he'll definitely make things easier once he joins.

Kyle - Cavaliers are really overpowered, and a 40% Speed growth can't be that bad.

Joshua - Gerik before Gerik joins. And doesn't get Axes. Still, he's pretty good.

Ross - I needed more early help, and it's not too difficult to get him up to speed if I recall correctly.

Duessel - How the hell did I get Duessel 5th pick? Even though I'm probably going Eirika route, he's still pretty good for later on.

L'Arachel - I decided Integrity was more likely to take L'Arachel than Amelia. My only staff user, for what it's worth.

Amelia - Has a horse. Hopefully she won't be too bad.

Chapter 4 - 8/27 Turns

Garcia ORKO'd everything on the map, including the boss if he eqipped a steel axe. Garcia busted the snag and let Eirika kill the sword bonewalkers before proceeding to obliterate the rest of the map. The toughest part was keeping Artur out of combat.

UNIT LEVEL HP STR SKL SPD LCK DEF RES WEP
Eirika 10.92 20 8 15 14 11 4 5 B Sword
Garcia 09.71 32 12 10 8 6 6 1 B Axe

Weapon ranks move fast in this game. Eirika has gone from E to B in 5 chapters.

Chapter 5 - 6/33 Turns

This one was tricky. Deployed Vanessa to rescue Natasha out of harm.

Went up the left side of the vendor with Garcia to attract enemies, and Eirika went right in front of it then up the right, then survived a fight with Joshua, and continued on to kill Saar with the armourslayer (to conserve Rapier uses) which was sent to the convoy earlier that turn by Garcia. The armourslayer village was the only one I got.

Stats will wait till 5x is over.

Chapter 5x - 8/41 Turns

I think an 8 turn is only possible with Kyle or Forde as a drafted unit, as they clear out the archer and shaman in the corridor. Forde got the killer lance and Elixir, while Orson stomped while carrying Ephraim.

Forgot stats again, lol.

Chapter 6 - 6/47 Turns

Garcia and Eirika weren't good enough against the Mercs to get to the boss on time. Garcia 2HKO'd the boss with an Iron Axe. Eirika hit A in swords.

UNIT LEVEL HP STR SKL SPD LCK DEF RES WEP
Eirika 16.19 24 11 20 20 16 6 6 A Sword
Garcia 13.17 35 14 14 9 8 7 1 B Axe

Chapter 7 - 7/54 Turns

Eirika got to Murray on turn 6, and killed him with the killing edge. Garcia got exp and the pure water.

UNIT LEVEL HP STR SKL SPD LCK DEF RES WEP
Eirika 17.65 25 12 20 20 16 6 6 A Sword
Garcia 15.71 37 15 14 9 10 7 2 A Axe

Chapter 8 - 9/63 Turns

Eirika killed the boss with the armourslayer, after Garcia trashed the knights, loldiers and magic users in his path (with the aid of a pure water). Ephraim and Forde got some exp around their starting location.

Stats in the chapter 9 base:

UNIT LEVEL HP STR SKL SPD LCK DEF RES WEP
Eirika 19.73 27 13 20 20 16 7 6 A Sword

Artur: I wanted slayer hard. Since I can't warpskip the end, I wanted to make it easy on myself endgame.

Cormag: Probably should be Tana, but I wanted to use someone different this playthrough.

Gilliam: Early game tank. Monsters have no speed, so he can double them with a speed growth or two, and he starts with C lances. Promotes to a horse.

Colm: Early game help. Insta-support with average unit Neimi. Promotes to useful endgame class.

Neimi: Insta-support with Colm, early game help. Would have been Duessel if he made it back.

Natasha: Slayer.

Ewan: Marisa is a pain to recruit and both suck anyway.

I've done through chapter 7. I think I am 1 ahead of Horace IIRC. I'll try to post my stats + counts later.

Chapter 9 - 11/74 Turns

GO KILLER WEAPONS

Forde promoted, and he was a massive help on this map. Garcia saved my ass by being able to OHKO the mages from range. Recruited Amelia for her speedwing. Didn't get either village. Almost Saleh time...

UNIT LEVEL HP STR SKL SPD LCK DEF RES WEP

Forde 10/03.32 32 10 11 13 7 11 3 B Lance C Sword

I get Innes, Tethys, Promoted Garcia, and Saleh the chapter after next.

Ok, time for the log to come out.

Chapter Prologue: 2/2

RN abuse.

Chapter 1: 5/7

Eirika charged, Gilliam supported, nothing special.

Chapter 2: 5/12

Gilliam managed to hit his 60ish hits in order to handle the top two bandits. Got no villages. Garcia crushed the eastern side for me with his NPC goodness.

Chapter 3: 7/19

Gilliam and Neimi used range to beat up the walls for Eirika to wander through. Neimi skipped the second wall to recruit Colm. Colm opens the door to distract an enemy to give Eirika a clean pass. I needed one crit out of 4 attacks in order to get the 7 turn.

Chapter 4: 6/25

Gilliam's offense is absurdly good on this chapter. He OHKOs everything but the boss and two other monsters. I charged with Gilliam down the middle. Artur, Neimi, and Eirika made sure his way was clear. IIRC, Neimi got the bosskill. Colm took the top reinforcements from a forest tile with the steel sword.

Chapter 5: 7/32

I ended up recruit Joshua to save the trouble of killing him and to get the Edge. I got the Dragonshield and used it on Artur. Natasha got some XP. I basically just got the the boss ASAP. I think Eirika killed him.

Chapter 5x: 9/41

This is the fastest complete without a drafted Kyle/Forde. Orson charge.

Chapter 6: 6/47

Eirika hopped the mountains while Gilliam tanked the middle. Everyone else did spot damage so Eirika could move fast.

Chapter 7: 8/55

Eirika went the water route while everyone else went the long way. Missed the stealable energy ring, but oh well. Everyone got some nice XP.

Chapter 8: 8/63

Gilliam made this chapter. He killed a Loldier turn 1 to level up to 13, promoted turn 2 to GK with Murray's Crest, raped the Knights in the treasure room with a hand axe, carried Eirika for a turn, and then brought the boss into Eirika KO range for turn 7 EP. Everyone else messed around with the lower enemies for XP, except Colm, who came north to steal the lockpick from the thief reinforcement.

Unit Class Level HP STR SKL SPD LCK DEF RES Weapon Level Notes
Eirika Lord 1 16.85 26 10 15 16 16 06 05 B Sword
Ephraim Lord 2 07.59 24 10 10 14 09 08 03 C Lance
Gilliam Great Kn. 02.76 33 18 10 09 06 16 07 B Lance D Axe E Sword Promoted at Level 13
Colm Thief 10.38 24 06 07 16 09 05 01 C Sword C Neimi
Artur Monk 10.28 24 11 09 13 04 06 08 D Light Dragonshield
Neimi Archer 07.00 19 05 08 09 09 04 05 D Bow C Colm
Natasha Cleric 03.20 19 04 04 08 07 02 06 C Staff

I can't decide which route to go, so I have a save right before I sieze with Eirika.

Edit: I also really like how different everyone's early games are. Horace kept up with just Garcia while I had 4 early combat draftees. I'm interested to see what Vanessa, Moulder, and Lute or Ross and Josh will be able to do.

It's also going to be interesting to see how this transitions to midgame, considering Garcia is mad overleveled, I have a bunch of average units.

Eirika's route is shorter, IIRC.

Chapter 10 - 6/80 Turns

I'm glad Garcia has worse defence than Forde, otherwise the AI would have targeted Forde, who was carrying Eirika, instead. Forde unlocked the door on turn 3 while carrying Eirika, (with a previously aquired door key) and headed up with a killing edge equipped. He critted the myrm in his way (but not the lancereaver Merc, who was killed by Garcia) and dropped Eirika in range of the throne on turn 5, ORKO'd all the archers (except the stupid one that hit Garcia with a ballistae) and then Killer Lanced Pablo, allowing Eirika to seize. Garcia used the speedwings before the chapter.

Forde can now use Seth's silver lance, which is good, as his killer lance only has 4 uses left.

UNIT LEVEL HP STR SKL SPD LCK DEF RES WEP
Eirika 20.00 28 13 20 20 16 7 6 A Sword

Eirika's route is shorter, IIRC.

I think it's short absolutely on a normal playthrough, but I'm weighing the availability I will get from Cormag versus a potentially shorter route. I might end up running Fort Rigwald to see how fast I can clear it before I decide. That's probably the hardest chapter imo for this type of run. I have to look at when I get Guiding Rings also, so I can try to get Artur promoted ASAP.

You get guiding ring earlier in Eirika's route, and Fort Rigwald is a bitch.

Also, Tethys is unbelievable.

Chapter 11 - 7/87 Turns

Managed to end this before the reinforcements.

Forde chugged down the left side, and took out everything there including the reinforcements that come at you from above. He killed the boss on turn 5, and headed back up to kill the reinforcements. Garcia, Innes, Eirika, and Tethys went right, killing everything in their way. Garcia went straight towards the boss, and opened the door to lure him out for Innes to kill with the silver bow the next turn. Tethys helped getting Eirika to Dolza on turn 6, allowing him to kill the Entombed on the turn 6 EP, and killing the Poison sword bonewalker (at a shaky 59 hittrate) on turn 7 to end the chapter. Wait, Dolza just might have saved a turn. Got the Secret Book (for Dolza).

Chapter 12 - 8/95 Turns

Every member of my team was essential here, which was odd. (Obviously Garcia was more important than Innes, but w/e)

Garcia blasted up the middle and OHKO'd the things he didn't double, and ORKO'd the things he did double. Saleh killed some stuff at the start, then stayed behind to blow up some Mauthe Dogs and Gargoyles. Dolza went peak walking with the Hatchet to kill a Bael, then the Gargoyles (he actually doubles some). Innes walked around and made sure there weren't any stragglers. Eirika broke her silver sword this chapter. Forde killed most of the Floating Eyes.

Saleh sat on a fort and blasted 097987 enemies on the enemy phase. With the help of Tethys, Forde and Garcia were able to get at the boss, Garcia hit him for something ridiculous like 39 damage with a hammer, then Forde finished with the Horseslayer. Also, I'm not sure who to give the energy ring to, Eirika or Forde.

... It's gonna be Forde.

Chapter 14 - 8/105 Turns

Should have been 9 turns, but Garcia critted Carlyle with the swordreaver.

Saleh used the Unlock staff on all the doors here, and L'Arachel recruited Rennac. Forde ferried Eirika and Tethys around, to make sure they got to the throne on time. Garcia and Saleh were ahead of the pack, killing everything, Dolza stayed behind to kill Cavs, and Innes used a pure water and killed all the enemies in the south room for an energy ring and dragonspear, while Dolza got the Hammerne staff and Spear in the northeastern chests.

Bought some killers at the secret shop.

Chapter 15 - 6/111 Turns

Garcia is amazing.

Anyhow, Garcia went to kill Callaech (I gave him a killing edge to do it too ) Followed by Rennac and Dolza after everything but Callaech was dead. Colm followed Saleh into the desert after he had killed everything there, and grabbed the swiftsoles. Rennac got the Body Ring and Silence Staff, and Garcia accidentely picked up Warp (I hope I can sell it).

Saleh went south into the desert, killed literally everything down south except one troubador that Ephraim killed, and Duessel and Knoll blocked the reinforcements once it was safe to do so. Saleh killed Valter with Excalibur (WHY DOES IT WEIGH SO MUCH)

GARM GET

Saleh is close to B in staves for rescue, but I think it'll be pretty useless without a flier.

You also have to remember that Garcia has enough speed to double most enemies in the prologue chapters, and is supposed to fade later on. He hasn't faded yet though, due to overlevelling. And Garcia's combat is better than Niemi and Colm combined early on.

Chapter 16 - 6/117 Turns

Pure Water and barrier staves are your friend. So is Tethys with the boots.

Forde carried Eirika most of the way to the throne, while Saleh and Garcia cleared the path. Turn 5 was a bit sketch, as Saleh had to dodge either a 67 or 52 displayed hit, and Tethys needed to dodge a 37, but it all worked out in the end. Saleh killed the boss with an excalibur crit, although Garcia with Garm was in range.

Chapter 17 - 3/120 Turns

I rescue chained Garcia up to the top of the map on turn 1 with all my ponies and Tethys, while everyone else farted around. Ephraim and Garcia cleared the druids on turn 2 EP, and Ephraim killed the sage blocking Garcia's way to Lyon. Garcia ORKO'd with Garm.

Chapter 18 - 7/127 Turns

I didn't really plan this chapter at all, I just had units fly around and kill shit. Saleh reached B in staves for Rescue. Those eggs give awesome exp.

Chapter 20 - 4 + 4 Turns/137 Turns

Silly Integ, taking all the fliers :(

Used Syrene to ferry people, and her death was an integral part of the plan, as it was needed for her to do that for Saleh to kill Morva on turn 4. Myrrh helped quite a bit here. Eirika killed Riev.

Final Part 1 - 3/140 Turns

Sacrificed Forde to a Dracozombie in order to get Saleh close enough to Lyon to rescue Garcia. It turns out he wasn't needed, as Myrhh critted Lyon anyhow.

Final Part 2 - 1/141 Turns

Myrhh attacked, then Ephraim, then Garcia, then Saleh finished. Thanks Tethys.

Total Turncount - 141 Turns

Team Analysis to come.

Garcia

IMO, he's a second round pick at the very least. He's a beast earlygame, and was my best unit until Saleh showed up, and even then, he kicked some serious ass. He was just awesome.

Saleh

ORKOing machine, made the desert a piece of cake. With Excalibur, he was unstoppable. Definate second round pick.

Forde

He wasn't that great statistically, but he was invaluable in ferrying Tethys and Eirika around. He was also clutch in chapter 9, 10, and 11 before Saleh and Garcia showed their stuff. He's not going to be doing much damage offensively, but a Pally is still a Pally.

Tethys

I think she saved a ton of turns. I'll have to wait till everyone else finishes before I start praising her, but I think she could have gone second round. Easily. Once she got the boots, there was no looking back. Except Chapter 20

Innes

He was better than expected. He had good offence to say the very least, and helped the most in the maps immediately after his joining.

Dolza

GWAHAHA

He's not too bad. Not excellent either. His epitome of usefulness was peakwalking to kill Gargoyles in chapter 12, and the possible turn he saved in chapter 11.

Marisa

Sorry, didn't recruit you. If I played Ephraim's mode, you would have been recruited, and if you made it to promotion, you would be an Assassin.

YEAH LET'S GO

P: 3 turns clear = 3 turns total

Fuck the RNG-wasting bullshit. I do my shit legit.

1: 9 turns cleat = 12 turns total

I do NOT remember this chapter being so hard with only Eirika. Je-SUS. Maybe it's because my Eirika got a shit level on P anyway.

2: 6 turns clear = 18 turns total

Ross is a warrior to the very end or osmethne. Whatever.

3: 9 turns clear = 27 turns total

SOON NESSIE WILL BE ABLE TO PLAY IN THE FIELDS

4: 8 turns clear = 35 turns total

THE FIELDS ARE FOR NESSIE TO PLAY IN

5: 8 turns clear = 43 turns total

These turncounts should NOT be used as indicative of anything. I'm rusty as hell right now. But I did get all the treasure, Joshua, and the Guiding Ring plus some SPECTACULAR levels.

5x: 10 turns clear = 53 turns total

Meh. Hate this chapter.

6: 3 turns clear = 56 turns total

BWEE

7: 4 turns clear = 60 turns total

3 was easily possible were I willing to let Nessie die. PROTIP: I wasn't. Rapier broke :(
