If thrones and buster weapons weren't nerfed in FE7 like in the japanese version, would that make characters like Eliwood, Lyn and Guy more useful? Would it make the game harder?

Reaver weapons not named Swordslayer were nerfed? I thought it was only bows, rapiers, Wolf Beils, the Mani Katti, longswords, armorslayers, horseslayers, heavy spears, polaxes, hammers, swordslayers, and Aureola. (And assuming you've connected the Mario Kart bonus disc to FE7, sonic swords.)

^Just like he said, I thought only "effectiveness" was changed from 3x to 2x.

Blazing Sword

Blood type was removed in the Tactician creation menu.

Blade Lord's unique animation with the Sol Katti was added.

Terrains Gate (3 Def and 20/30 Avoid to 2 Def and 20 Avoid) and Throne (3 Def and 30 Avoid to 2 Def and 20 Avoid) were changed.

Sword of Seals Link Up was removed. Originally this feature allowed the player to skip Lyn's story during the first playthrough, as well as help to unlock the extra Epilogue scenes.

Effective bonus was changed from 3 to 2 for Aureola and all non dragon-slaying weapons.

Many of the bosses had their stats slightly lowered overall.

In the Cog of Destiny chapter, Lloyd and Linus had their weapon switched from a Runesword to a Light Brand.

In the Final Chapter, one door opens every turn (instead of two doors every two turns).

The extra Epilogue scenes were unlocked by default. Previously the scene with Eliwood and Hector with their children was unlocked by linking up with Sword of Seals with a Chapter 22 end-game save, or by completing the game 9 times*. The scene with Zephiel and Jahn was unlocked by linking up with Sword of Seals with a Final Chapter end-game save, or by completing the game 11 times*. The extra scenes were removed from the European versions altogether.

I always thought the Rapier, Wolf Beil and weapons like it were called buster weapons and the lancereaver, swordreaver and axereaver were reaver weapons. My bad.
