risingSolaris
Let's start with my personal mug. It's a FC. Critique? Edited October 15, 2011 by A Bowmaster's Tale
Parrhesia
The guy is tiny but he has the (overly thick) neck of a total tank, the shading is ... awful, the glasses should already have broken just by my looking at it, the proportions are too small, the hair looks like an extended toupee, the shoulder armour doesn't rest on the actual shoulder, the head makes him look like an alien and it's just...wrong. Everywhere. Please reference other mugs. Better yet, and I implore you to do this, start with splicing, because the proportions are mostly done for you. And believe me, that is a BIG problem. deranger
Certain parts of it are okay, but yeah I'd stick to splicing for now to get down the proportions, angles, and shading in some areas.
risingSolaris
K. So, something like this? Basically a spliced version of that FC. With and without glasses. Edited October 15, 2011 by A Bowmaster's Tale
deranger
Yeah pretty much. That's actually a pretty good, clean splice. Edited October 15, 2011 by deranger
eCut
That definitely looks loads better! I like him. :)
Parrhesia
That's a pretty nice splice. I don't think smooth is the word I'm looking for, but it's at least fairly interesting. I prefer the one without glasses, but that's probably just my blatant bias. Honestly, that's vaguely promising. You might be up to FCing some day. risingSolaris
Ghost butler version of my personal mug. And a mug for my friend. Something looks odd about the second one...Help?
ThatGuyDownTheStreet
Those eyes in the 2nd portrait look like like they have too much purple. That might be it.
deranger
the far eye in the second mug looks too horizontal.
risingSolaris
Made fixes to the friend one, and made another one. And some icons. Ignore the flashy yellow one. Critique? Book of Ereshkigal
Second ones bangs need more AA. And the far eye looks kinda off...
risingSolaris
Made (a lot of) edits to the general looking dude...and made a new...soldier guy? Hurray for fail (at maps)! Ignore the flipped around bridge. I never really got around to fixing it. Might if some people think its good enough.
deranger
general looks better imo, but there should be more shading on the inner plates/they should be darker. He just looks really light in contrast to his shoulder closest to us. Also, his eyes almost look messed up. The copper visor for the soldier looks weird and out of place and should cast more of a shadow I think. And you made the map with mappy right? It looks decent, but maps have to be at least 15x10 to be inserted (or at least to look good).

deranger
That was remarkably foolish of you.
ThatGuyDownTheStreet
No, I actually didn't make it with mappy. :P I made it with paint. You made it in paint? I've never actually someone do that before. But yeah, if you want to be able to insert it into a hack, you need mappy or Tiled.
risingSolaris
I never planned to insert it into a hack, or probably ever make a map again, for that matter. I was just bored with nothing in my mind.
Nanami Touko
Mappy is much easier to use than paint, and your maps will turn out better by using it.
risingSolaris
If you don't know what this is, you've never witnessed true epicness This is the greatest RT ever in Super Robot Wars Original Generation (IMO). I've actually been working on it for quite a while, and I was going to make the whole RT, but I was too lazy to chose not to. Took around 4 hrs. Tips? Nanami Touko
The shading is really chunky and overshaded, and it needs to be smoother. Try to straighten out the lines more The R-1 is totally the best RT in SRT OGs ever, anyway
