Text Editing in FE4

I've been inspired. I'm considering making a translation patch for FE4 Inflation.

I have a few questions though.

1. How do I change commands into English?

2. How do I change weapons/items into English

3. How do I rewrite the story?

4. Am I violating any rights of the original creator?

5. Because this is Inflation, is there anything that will be different to what the program says it will do?

I know the game belongs to Nintendo and IS, but I don't want to violate the creator.

This may not turn into anything, but I'm hoping I can do it. It really depends on how much free time I have. I will translate commands and items first. If I still have time I may translate the story as well.
