Peppy
How do people figure out the growth rates of each game. Feel free to link to somewhere if there already is an answer!
MacLovin
See the main site, then see "growth rates" under each games page.
Acacia Sgt
See the main site, then see "growth rates" under each games page. But then there had to be someone to figure them out in order to put them there. If that's his point. In that case it'd involve looking up the game data itself via hacking then and determining which data is the growths then to interpret them in decimal values. I'd guess... Peppy
No, i mean how do they figure out those growth rates that they got from the game to the website! You can't really find their growth rates in the game so how did they figure out the growth rates before putting them on the site! ... and the person above knows what he is talking about! Refa
Not necessarily true, you'll notice guy who knows what he's talking about said that hackers can find them. I think he means when you're playing through the game.
Thor Odinson
The only way to get growths is to get into the game data. Otherwise, ingame, there is none.

Thor Odinson
I don't play Shining Force so no clue how it works, but if it has growth rates then most likely it's just gonna be in the coding of the game. If nobody's going hacking into the game to find out then no public growth rates.
Celice
The only way to get growths is to get into the game data. Otherwise, ingame, there is none. One could argue that repeated playthroughs (and I mean tons of repeated playthroughs) could give a little bit of an average of the actual growths. It's not completely accurate, but it gives a good enough picture to make considerations and decisions. And some games still have (well, actually, tons of games) their debug modes available, and some of these will allow you to see information about data like growth rates or whatever (depends on the game, of course). That is some "in-game" information.
Thor Odinson
While valid, not sure if anyone wants to do that many playthroughs for a single game. I'm pretty familiar with the statistical procedure for it, though. I mean, if the person doing that got paid, maybe... Well, FE doesn't, as far as I know. I'm sure some games do, but I haven't played those, so I can't speak for it. And since this is posted in General FE, I will assume this is just talking about FE itself and not other games. VincentASM
Growth rates are some of the easiest stuff to hack in FE. They're always located next to stuff like base stats, which you can look up in game (but remember to subtract the class base stats, which are also displayed in game sometimes, off first). FE12 complicated things by encrypting the growth rates, no clue why IS did that o__O
