Stark
(Technically this is about Path of Radiance, but I'm discussing the effects in Radiant Dawn.) So, I'm at endgame on a transfer file in Path of Radiance, and I'm entertaining the idea of using my two energy drops to cap strength for Tibarn or Naesala. What do you guys think about the merits of transferring one of them as opposed to Giffca? I'm torn between trying one of them and just dumping the energy drops along with the rest of my stat boosters on Elincia and staffspaming her up to 20 in endgame. Having to raise them 2-3 levels is also a bit of a drawback considering I'm stretched for exp, but I'm more interested if they will significantly benefit in RD. I know Giffca actually gets quite a bit out of his transfer for the chapters he's around.
Florete
Naesala's base Str (combined with his S Strike) in RD misses some ORKOs, so 8 more damage per round would easily help him the most. I've never tried to transfer Tibarn or Naesala myself, though, and their Tear activation in RD is really high as it is. I imagine Naesala would get more from a transfer than Giffca (Tibarn probably would, too, but not nearly as much), but the difference may not be significant, especially if you'll be playing on Easy or Normal. Stark
Well, I went with Naesala in the end. He actually got a perfect level up in endgame, and procced a 2nd point of strength so I didn't even need the 2nd drop. And Elincia capped strength anyway. Very happy everything worked out, though I think 13 units pushed normal very close to the limit without boss abuse.
Anouleth
Naesala doesn't get that much out of the transfer since his skill proc chance is sky high and it's not very hard for him to cap strength naturally, with Strength being his second highest growth at 45%. It won't let him ORKO 4-E-1 Generals, for instance, because his S Strike is still quite weak. Whereas Giffca finds it much easier to ORKO Auras with a strength transfer. Stark
You may well be right. Still, it will be interesting to try out, especially since I have gotten him SS strike by endgame before. And I'm happy with the file, as I got a good balance between units I like, units that have good endgame potential and units that make hard mode easier. Silith
How does neasala ever reach level 20 in PoR endgame? he needs 3 levels and only joins after ashnard gos in his berserk mode.
Stark
On normal (or easy), he joins on turn 3 and berserk Ashnard doesn't even happen.
