There are people who, as soon as a new banner gets released, have +10 copies of an unit from it, or even two of them, if it has two top tier ones. On the gamefaqs board, you see some people like those. They're always showcasing their +10 copies of newly released units. They tend to be very nice, though, helping people on how to build units (since they can try all builds lol) and stuff like that. I suspect most whales are on this category. You don't need (or even want) a big house if you're single and have no intention of changing that. Nobody Posted March 11, 2018 Share Posted March 11, 2018 Back in 2004, when I was playing Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, I was showing it to a friend of mine and he suggested me to try this cool SRPG he had on his GBA, and even suggested we traded our cartridges for a while, but I dismissed it and never tried it, since there was no way that game would be as good as FFTA. People give Cloud a bunch of shit for being kinda emo, but Squall is the worst final fantasy protagonist in the series. He's just a whiny prick, and his character development is making him slightly less annoying at best. Most of the other characters are fucking annoying and bad too, Seifer being another whiny douchebag as an antagonist. At least Laguna is alright. The junction system is ass and so is drawing magic in which you have to spend time with a "draw" command purposely letting an enemy hit you just so you get some magic in some kind of weird sandbagging ritual. It's some unneccesarily complex shit in tandem with the junctioning system that seem to only be put in so we can have something different. http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Draw_(Final_Fantasy_VIII) http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Junction_system The game also likes you to backtrack and it's not very well balanced in general. There's also this card minigame called Triple Triad that some people have fun with, but I just found it irritating. The story wants to focus more on a love story between Squall and Rinoa than the actual plot at times and on top of being a bad JRPG romance like a lot of the final fantasy ones, Squall - and Rinoa, although less so, are just completely unlikable so you wonder why the fuck anyone would care. Speaking of the plot, it involves time things like FF1 so you know it's going to be convuluted and shit. But without getting into it - it's not very good.
