ZemZem
*watches Index* *nuns jam VERY sharp pens in their ears to deafen themselves from a curse* Holy shit, this show's hardcore!

Emeraldfox
Luuul. Nah, the difficulty comes in the form of stars. I finished up Iyasu's story in about three hours, that has a difficulty of two stars.
Komeiji Koishi
ZM. That sounds insane. Not Neon Genesis Evangelion insane, or FLCL insane, but whatever. Yeah. Looks like I'll finally be able to Dark Souls.

Ein
I literally wasn't expecting it. I cringed pretty hard seeing it. shock gore is a bad way to make people get scared, care, and such
ZemZem
There was nothing to be scared about, though. They only did that to deafen themselves from their weakness: contradictions against the Catholic Church. As cringe-worthy as it was seeing them jam PENS WITH KNIFE POINTS INTO THEIR EARS, it was unexpected and makes me interested in watching it more. Ein
Your thoughts? Eh, I watched a few episodes years ago with some friends in an anime expo. I didn't see anything that makes it stand out and the whole magic thing just bugged me. Doesn't help that all the female characters are supposed to be marketing tools and the main character had some kind of deus ex machina hand and spouted speeches a lot. Although the whole marketing thing is the only way for anything to stand a chance of being successful. The violence I saw: The samurai chick that looks like every other samurai chick with a ponytail smashing her sheathe into Touma's stomach and Index getting cut up and almost bleeding to death and it keeps going on... It's just a cheap way to invoke emotions in my book. Then again I just don't like anime/manga with fantasy stuff. I just want stuff that's more grounded in reality with little to no violence but that never happens.
ZemZem
Eh, I watched a few episodes years ago with some friends in an anime expo. I didn't see anything that makes it stand out and the whole magic thing just bugged me. Interesting. If only my friends were cool enough to do things like that. >_< I myself don't mind the magic, as it's a principal part of the show. Doesn't help that all the female characters are supposed to be marketing tools and the main character had some kind of deus ex machina hand and spouted speeches a lot. Although the whole marketing thing is the only way for anything to stand a chance of being successful. What anime doesn't use female characters as marketing tools. I can't think of ONE anime that doesn't. Touma's a pretty cool guy, but he's kind of a, uh, gamebreaker. He ALWAYS wins, which might make people not like him, in a way. Personally, I think he's awesome, but to each his own. The violence I saw: The samurai chick that looks like every other samurai chick with a ponytail smashing her sheathe into Touma's stomach and Index getting cut up and almost bleeding to death and it keeps going on... It's just a cheap way to invoke emotions in my book. Kanzaki's kinda boring. I don't like violence in anime, but w/e. The pen thing shocked me, though. Then again I just don't like anime/manga with fantasy stuff. I just want stuff that's more grounded in reality with little to no violence but that never happens. Might I recommend Spiral: The Bonds of Reasoning? It's more of a manga, though.
Ein
I don't take recommendations. :x Besides, I'm just super critical on games, movies, tv shows, and books. Edited April 10, 2013 by Ein
Emeraldfox
I see I see. Around what time during the game do the character upgrade their armor? Well, it's more like 'evolving'. There are a bunch of different factors. Like, Ginchiyo and Muneshige evolve by being in different nations and having a certain link with Luxio(Luxray)/Staravia(Staraptor) respectivley. While Motonari needs to have a certain link with Servine/Serperior and a bunch of different Pokemon catalogued. And others like Motochika, Kai and Aya just need to have a certain link their best Pokemon(Dewott/Samurott, Darmanitan, Snorunt/Frosslass respectivley). This game made me like Okuni a little more, since she has a Whirlipede. Whirlipede is awesome.
