CrashGordon94
What should I do if I wanted to paste a No Symbol over a particular image? I have the symbol as an SVG and a PNG (both taken from the Wikipedia page listed, as the SVG has transparancy and I'm too lazy to look much harder for one) and the image itself as a PNG. Currently I only have Paint but I'd be willing to download another free program if needed. Any advice?

CrashGordon94
Right, program sorted then. What would I do with the actual editing part then? Just paste one image over the other?
Dr. Tarrasque
like so? I did it with paint.net 1. Open the image that you're going to have something else pasted over it with Paint.net. In this case it was that Gundam without the red symbol on it. 2. In the menu, click Layers -> Add New Layer 3. In the menu, click Layers -> Import from file. In this case it's the red symbol 4. The image you will paste over the base will show up and you can move it where you want. 5. When you're happy with the placement, in the menu, click Layers -> Flatten. Then just save it as PNG. Hmm... I could've sworn this sort of thing was doable with just Paint but I can't find this in the new interface.
Snivy
In the new interface it's here. I have no idea why the image is so large.
Dr. Tarrasque
In the new interface it's here. Ah thanks. Just tried and it works... though the symbol had bits of a white background around it.
CrashGordon94
Right, using GIMP but trying to follow similar steps to Sirius's post. I have the next layer but I can't seem to put the symbol into it. EDIT1: Never mind, I think I've got it now. EDIT2: Done it! Some experimentation and I've made my picture, thanks guys! Snivy
Ah thanks. Just tried and it works... though the symbol had bits of a white background around it. when that happens the best thing to do is copy it and then paste it again wherever you want it. That's what I do. Glad I could help.
