I have been doing that, but I can only get Asvel to kill one enemy and the boss (and Grafcalibur broke anyway, I'm conserving the repair staff for now because I think I'll need it for staves later on).

It's not that Asvel has problems killing them and surviving, but that he can't move far enough to get all of them to attack him. Three of them end up veering off to the left and then I can't distract them from reaching the characters at the mansion.

Later on, you'll have plenty more staffs, especially if you get the two Warp staffs in 17A. You won't have plenty more Grafcaliburs. Repairing Warp is only necessary if you want to warpskip a bunch of early chapters; if not, you'll be fine without it. And you'll almost certainly be able to get more than you'll need of staffs other than Warp.

Have you promoted Asvel yet? If not, the extra Move might make the difference.

Is there any practical way to capture the fire sword-wield armor and boss in chapter 10? Dagda takes forever to capture the armor because his accuracy is so bad, so I end up losing the upper house, and I doubt he can capture the boss at all. I don't think any mounted unit even has enough strength to capture the boss.

I normally abuse for crits to capture the Fire Sword guy on Turn 1. Probably not worth it, though.

Never tried for the boss.

Brighton with a Hammer can capture him in one shot, but his accuracy isn't too good.

Just RNG abuse if you want that sword. Or if your Lifis has gained a couple of Bld points he can steal it. Try to weaken him with your old Fire Sword or the Light Sword or something so that Dagda only needs one hit.

Question.

I've promoted Asvel at 11/1 in the chapter where Fin @ Safy rejoin.

I'm in one on where Dagda rejoins.

I left him with a bunch of hand axes and iron axes and a bow, I think.

Now, Fergus has capped lvl, and Brighton has almost.

But, Marty/Othin/Halvan help alot indoors.

Should I Promote one of the axe guys early, or just promote one of the manster Mounted?

I'm thinking Promoting Marty, so He can be useful in combat as well as capturing.

Probably go for the capped one unless you have plans for using quite an assload of characters that will force some to go without a promotion in which case Fergus could stand to remain as is.

Also, I'm on 8x, and Safys lvl 6.

Promote her ASAP?

She has B staves btw.

Warp isn't needed. Just have Fred get to Olwen as fast as possible. The kids aren't mandatory, but if you want to have some items in the next chapter, I'd suggest making rescue chains at first, then escorting them to the exit.

A few groups of Soldiers will spawn as reinforcements. Six will spawn next to the cell on turn 8, while six more will block the exit on turns 10 and 15.
