Jave
Marty also has a 15% growth in strength, so early on you also have to consider the Hezul and Neir scrolls as well since the Noba scroll comes a lot later. Marty can turn out an amazing unit, but he needs several scroll abuse and dedication to reach that point. Once you get there, though, he's great. He's also a good candidate for the Charge manual. Anouleth
Understatement. Marty can't reach a level of spd that allows him to possibly double anyone (even assuming one glues the Sety scroll to him) until promotion. His durability is not outstandingly superior to Othin or Halvan, and his accuracy is terrible. I can understand if you think that Marty turns out decent (due to the promotion gains), but his start is downright terrible. It doesn't help that he's missing entirely from chapter 4 to half of chapter 8, and then he needs to scoot his way until promotion after that. I'm guessing that Othin probably staples the Brave Axe to him to help with his earlygame.
MacLovin
Is Shanam worth it? Also, going for Olwen. Also, is Cyas worth it? Or should I just go with Sety due to lolOverkill Offense
Integrity
Dude, you're planning like the entire game in advance. Chill the fuck out and just enjoy it.
Othin
Elite Mode FE5 is easy; just do what you feel like. Take advantage of the freedom the game gives you rather than asking us to take it away. Edited January 24, 2012 by Othin
CrashGordon94
From what I've heard and seen Sety >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Cyas and they're mutually exlusive so go with Sety. Biabarr
Seriously, if you plan this much in advance, the RNG is bond to screw over some of you characters. Just play the game, use who you think won't suck (if you really want, look at their growths/average stats), and hope that no one gets RNG screwed. Also, remember fatigue and capturing. MacLovin
is it possible to capture Cyas? To get his staves?
Icon of Sin
is it possible to capture Cyas? To get his staves? Cyas can't be killed as an enemy, so I doubt capturing will work. Your best bet will likely be the Thief Staff if you can get Tina's magic that high.
Othin
His base Mag is 18. Not going to be easy, although an M Up staff or Pure Water would help. Hmm. You can do it if she gains Magic on 6 level-ups, promotes, and gets the full +7 from one of those two methods. A Magic Ring can also substitute for two of those points. You don't have a ton of time to do it, though. Edited January 24, 2012 by Othin
MacLovin
Some quesÞions now. 1. How hard is it to recruit Xavier AND get the member card? 2. How hard is ch24x? 3 is there and easy way to get Deans Dragon Lance? 4. Is getting weapons through the armoury worth it? 5. Is getting Eyrios>Olwen worth it? I really like the effect of Dime Thunder

I really like the effect of Dime Thunder 1. You don't want to bother with this. 2. The random warp tiles lead to a normally inescapable room. You will need to bring rescue here or leave folks behind if you get screwed. Then there's save states which need no explanation. The Hell spells can be problematic and there's status staves here IIRC. 3. Sleep the most dangerous enemies near the house I suppose. 4. If you need them then obviously yes. 5. If you actively use Olwen, her stats and combat without Dime Thunder proves to be satisfactory for you, then there's no need to get Eyrios unless you want to trade the Holy Sword and possible second Dime Thunder obtained in chapter 22 for a more durable Mage Knight, then go for Eyrios. Othin
1. Really hard, from what I understand. 2. Not so tough, but weird. 3. Warp/Dance/Rescue. 4. Not usually. 5. Up to you.
Dr. Tarrasque
3. Warp/Dance/Rescue. Ah yes, this one works too if you didn't miss out on the Rescue Staff from chapter 10.
Non-Existent Member
You don't really need the Member Card. There's only one Secret Shop and that's in Chapter 24 which it can be only accessed by Warp.
Anouleth
Oh, and by the way: http://www.fireemblemwod.net/fe5.htm wod has a lot of good information on FE5 such as maps of invisible warp tiles, reinforcement data and so on. you can feed it through google translate but it's not really perfect: the main asset is the great maps which tell you where all the stuff is and what the enemies carry. dondon151
The Dragon Lance is the biggest waste of effort in the entire game...
MacLovin
Marty is turning good. +3 strength at level 4. +2 build +2 defense +3 luck. All at lvl 4. He's proving to be useful.

No need for Google Translate anymore. At least the chapter walkthroughs on FE5 are also in English in FEWod. Just pick a chapter and choose "Change the Text to English" in the top right link. MacLovin
Ok For manster, what are the better items. Bringing Killer Edge Hezul Scroll Baldo Scroll Flame Sword Maybe Hammer Armourslayer Elfire/Fire.
Anouleth
There's no point in taking the Fire tome, there are plenty of tomes you can steal if you need to.
Swordsalmon
The extra Fire is indeed pointless. Rifis at base stats can steal Fire and Thunder tomes, which are extremely common in the Manster chapters. You'll be stocked up for most the game! The scrolls aren't necessary for the next couple chapters; you'll get them back soon anyways. Honestly, you don't need much more than the Killing Edge and Light Sword. The longer you stay in Chapter 4, the harder it is. Don't load up Leaf and Rifis too much!
Othin
Hammer/Armorslayer and Flame Sword/Light Sword are musts. And the Lockpick, of course. You'll be fine as long as you bring those five. Just make sure not to bring too many. The chests can only hold 16 items, and there are four items in addition to the ones you bring.

Celice
You seem to have a lot of planning for your playthrough o_O No one's mentioned it yet, but if fancies you, you can also use a patch which raises all the caps from 20 to 30. Enemy units whose stats are determined by growth rates should make use of the new caps, but enemies with predetermined stats shouldn't increase, and so you'll be at a great advantage. I mean, you're already on Elite Mode, but hey, maybe you want a little more room for your characters too :p
