Some amateur sprites

I'd suggest you use Photobucket or an image uploading website so you don't need to attach your files.

keep in mind i am an "amateur" give me constructive criticism

A) of course you're an amateur, last I checked you don't get paid for this (and if you actually did then I'd be very surprised, because that place's quality contr- *snrk*)

B) I was going to actually give you some tips but just from this comment I get the sense that anything more rough than "maybe you could do [pointer] because right now it's not as good as it could be but on the whole it's really good" would 'insult' you or whatever, and I don't feel like putting up with butthurt.

Now so I don't get warned, you use way too much outline color inside the sprites, it's really kind of ugly.

We need an upload to image host and post forum link tutorial.

Upload your pictures to Photobucket, or image shack, or some other image host, and then post the forum code they give you. They'll appear as images rather than attachments then.

here I tried to fix some of the problems

Ferris-1.pngwhat do you mean by the angle is messed up? is there something wrong with his arm?

The angle's kind of awkward, really. Like, no one would be comfortable like that. To fix it I suggest you have him hold the bow with only one arm, and if you ever sheet it, the other arm can pull the arrow.

Professional also has attached to it the concept of pursuing further education - developing their knowledge and skills.

But, yeah selling a beat for a dollar makes you an amateur of the first order, not a professional.

You can get paid for stuff and still be an amateur, just something to think about. :/

It looks like what you've been doing is just copy/pasting from different mugs and changing the palette. That would be why it's got the random pixels and stuff that doesn't fit in all your sprite. Just go through in paint or whatever you use and get rid of the pixels and make everything fit.

When splicing multiple hairs together, it's important to try your best to smooth it out so it looks natural. Try referencing other spriters, or other mugs with similar hairstyles. That third one in the new post has really bad hair, and I can tell you spliced a few different ones.

That first battle sprite kinda looks like a pirate with a sword. You just have to fix up the shading and some random pixels, that really applies to all of them. They're not bad, they just need polishing, if that makes sense.

i used some of the tips to create this sprite

Serene.png

*no double neck

*no excess pixels

*right face shading

*right hair shading

*correct face angle

*sprites used are not completely noticeable (of course you can tell Ninian is the base)

There is a pixel on her right side (our left) that needs a little work. Because her face basically goes curve, square, curve, point. The square bit needs fixing.

Other than that and the crooked face, the design is quite lovely. (Especially the bun on top of the head)
